Does Anyone Know If The Rec Navigation Unit Have A Built In Reciever For The Sirius Radio Or Do I Need To Purchase The Reciever For It? I Just Bought A Nav Unit On Ebay But My Car Is Not Sirius Ready. I Just Wanted To Know How Much More I Would Have To Invest Into Getting Setup

You will need to buy the receiver for it, the REC only has the connector in the back for the Sirius. Its around $200. Then you will also need to get the installation kit as well, around another $200. Check around with the different vendors here, I have seen a couple that have all you need.

why not just buy a portable gps unit. if your spending $400.00 to install and parts (not including the dash system) then you might as well buy a portable gps unit from magellan. That why you dont have to worry about extra costs. Also, the map source and updated information is all the same. Do a consumer reports check up on the gps portable system and see which one is the best before you buy

I have another suggestion. Buy a cell phone that has Telenav or garmin GPS function. I just bought one for 99.00 from Sprint. It costs 10.00 a month plus Internet access for map updates. It works great, but will not use a bluetooth headset.
