My New Charger

I am soon to be a Charger owner! I just got an update on the Charger that I ordered and it should be leaving Brampton on Oct. 5th 2006. It will be a sweet car. Being as I work at a Chryser, Dodge, Jeep dealership I have a bit of an inside line for ording what I want. So I have a 2007 Dodge Charger in a "Customer Preferred Package 29A" on order. For those of you who are not in the know that translates to a Police Package with a 5.7L HEMI and a NAG1 automatic. It was also ordered with power heated mirrors (I have them on my current car and would not give them up for anything) and also a power seat. Aside from that, the rest will all be installed by myself being as I work in both the parts department as a "Parts Advisor" and also in service as an "Accessory Install Tech." My wish list is not very long, but long enough. It is mostly just stuff that is available on the higher end Chargers but not on the "base" cars, like gas hood props, full length centre console, fog lamps, a 6 disc MP3 radio, and some other non-essential but nice to have items.

Don't worry. I have no plan to give any one my home or work address (unless she is REALLY cute and single!).

Some of the riff-raff out there just should not have that kind of info.

I was very certain that your comments were just in jest but you never can tell.

I am so into this car I have even started my own web log on my web server about the car and it's eventual delivery. I am really suprised though as I only ordered the car on Sept. 9th and already I have an estimated shippment date.

It's also nice to know that I will have one of the very few Charger police packages in the hands of a civilian. That way I don't have to be passing myself every where I go like these people in Cavaliers etc. Also, I still have not found any one that can tell me if the RCMP's will be getting the Charger or not. The last I was aware of they did not have any plans on switching. I guess I will have to give my neighbour, who is a officer with the RCMP, a ride in my car so that he will know what he is missing out on. :smile:

Just a quick update on my future Charger. I just checked on its status this morning and Chrysler has changed the estimated ship date to THIS WEDNESDAY!

Based on the other LX cars we have received from Brampton it usually takes two to three weeks to get to our dealership from the day it leaves the factory. This is really getting exciting!
