I was excited to find that my hood arrived today, only 2.5 weeks after I ordered it. The paint match seems pretty good although I will have to wait to see it in the sunlight tomorrow.
I am looking for some tips to adjust the alignment of the hood. The front corners sit really high compared to the bumper and fender. What adjustment am I missing? The bumbstops are low enough that they are not stopping it from going down. It is almost as if the hood is not closing all the way down into the latch but it is latched completely. Any help would be appreciated. Otherwise, I will check with a body shop and see if they can do something with it.
I attatched a few pics. Will try to get better ones when the sun comes up.
Thanks for any help you may offer.

I lined the R/T badge with red reflective tape. You can't tell at all from looking at it until light hits it. Subtle little mod but I thought it was cool. Did the front and back both.

Maybe the actual latch mechanism needs to be lowered down on the nose about a 1/4 inch or so. It could be possibly the Hook on the new hood is slightly longer.

With the hood closed, can you push down on the front part of the hood and make it alighn? but when you let go it comes back up and you hear it hit the hood latch? if so, lower the latch mechanism.

Is there a way you could pop off the grill and paint behind it a flat black? It would give it more real look, instead of being able to see the GMG paint behind it.

I will try that. After looking some more today, I think that will make a big difference. I am gonna play with it more tomorrow and will let you know.
I agree about the black behind the grill, I am going to see what I can do about that.
Thanks for your help and comments everyone.

Lowering the hood latch is what I had to do as well with my hood. It only goes down maybe a 1/4 inch, but helped. Also, being it is not metal, the hood will flex a bit with temperature changes. Myself as well with a few others here had the front corners stick up at first after intall. The front corners will lower as the hood sits, especially if it out in the sun. Give it a good day before you try any adjustments, you will have a better idea after it sits for a while as to what adjustments are needed.

By the way, I have always liked the hood in GMG, Looks good. Makes me wish I did buy one of those Daytonas that the dealer had when I got mine. Are you going to get a stock looking decal on the hood or leave it plain?
