I took my R/T to Futral Motorsports in Walker, LA. It is an hour drive from New Orleans. They mostly specialize on GM cars. They looked at my engine and said that the installation should be easy from underneath but on top there is not much room to work. I was quoted 450-750 for labor. Keep in mind that these guys mostly work on GM vehicles and this would be the first Hemi for them. I have been trying to find someone in the New Orleans area to do the work, but no one will touch my car. Please inform.

He is right they can only be done from underneath and there is a few bolts that are really hard to get at. I was having a hard time to get someone to do it and I had a long talk with the service manager where I bought the car and we ironed out any warranty issues none.I told him to ask some of his techs if anyonr was interested in doing it because I didn't want someone just thrown ont the job and one guy was interested we talked and it was $450 including tax. That was Mopar Longtubes and High Flow cats bought them from Mopar Super Center and took them to the dealer
Good luck you will love them click on the link in my signature if you want to hear them

Cost me about $300 in NY at a local gas station where theres a guy into cars. It took him a few hours on the lift. He said it was easy except for about two bolts.
 nothing to say except that thread title cracked me up

thanks. I am planning on putting on the kooks. I like to go fast. The faster my car the better. When I am done with every mod, my goal is to get my R/T in the low 13's.

I just ordered my Mopar L/T headers and I was quoted $225 at the Dodge dealership I bought my car at to install. I figure that's a pretty good price.
On another note I installed my Mopar CAI today and the cool change in sound when I open it up is pretty noticable. Only problem is I've got the engine light now. That doesn't suprise me with the change in air temp and flow that is probably setting it off. The dealership told me they could reprogram the stock chip when they install the headers to match the CAI and Headers up. That's cool 'cause I don't want mess with a flashpaq yet.

I just disconnected the battery post in the trunk for 30 minutes. When I started it up again, I guess it learned the new parameter and never gave me a engine light again.

After driving about 20 miles, the next time I turned my car on the engine light disappeared and hasn't come on again. Maybe it cleared itself. I will still have the dealership change some settings to match the increased airflow with the CAI and L/T headers.

A few friends of mine and my kids installed my JBA headers on sunday. I will say that I am pretty good with mechanics and one of the other guys is a certified mechanic with a few years under his belt. We had the directions and for the most part followed them.
Took us 12 hours from start to finish. The only thing I can say that would have made it go faster was a few rachet wrenches, and a lift, and a few guys that have done it before.
Ramps worked, but a lift would have been better.
