Truth is that I DIDN'T change my exhaust... it is in fact a MOPAR kit. I only opened this thread to show that the "Mopar kit sounds ricey" theory is incorrect.
People, please don't let others shape your view of a product. That would be called jumping on the bandwagon. This Mopar Kit sounds great, listen for yourself then make a decision.

I am thinking about pulling off the second set of mufflers or resnators on my mopar dual. That should hopefully liven the exhaust note up a bit.

The thing to keep in mind with these and any exhaust is that the note you get when you first install it isn't the way it will sound forever. When the exhaust settles it will sound deeper and louder.

I am about to buy a Mopar dual exhaust. I have looked around and 626.00 is the best I have found and that is the dealer price. Does that sound about right. I want to go with a Mopar kit because it will match what I already have (on the pass. side) and includes the heat sheild as well.

NO that price is wwwaaaayyyy off... MSRP is $425.00 and we did a GB with moparsupercenter.com for $349 about a month ago. They may still have another kit, go check in their vendor forum.

I called them already on that one (425.00) They told me it was a single inlet, dual outlet mufler system. They said the true dual cat back system was 656.00 (same as dealer with 10% discount) The Mopar part number is -P5153642.

OOOHHH you are looking at a kit for the R/T apparently. I didn't know about a true dual mopar kit. I have never seen a true dual kit for a V6 charger...
Here's my .02..... I don't know that the V6 will benefit much from a true dual kit. I have noticed that no V6 ever comes with a true dual setup, its always a y pipe of some sort. I don't think that the V6 puts out enough exhaust to benefit from that sort of setup. In some instances I have heard of performance suffering...
Please don't take my word for it, do research and make the best decision. I wish you the best!!

Well, Let me clarify. I meant Y pipe dual as oppossed to single muffler dual outlet pipe. Mopar does not offer a "true" manifold back dual exhaust for the v6. I hope this makes since the way I worded it.

OK this is how the $425 Mopar kit works... you have 2 manifolds and 2 cats coming from the engine. The Mopar kit includes a y pipe to join those two to one pipe, that pipe goes to a high flow muffler then there is another y pipe that goes to two resonators(one on the left and one on the right) and the one tip on each resonator. I hope that makes more sense.

I am well aware of what time will do to an exhaust. I have had that exhaust since day 1 of having my charger (been over a year now). I am looking to make id louder and more throaty. Those resonators hold back alot of sound..
