I had a pretty good run on I75 this morning with a 2005 BMW 745LI. It was a highway run starting at 70mph +/-. He was continually losing ground and at 150mph he just couldn't keep up. The Mango had plenty more to go. We slowed down to normal speed rolled down the windows and gave each other a thumbs up. I bet he was pretty dissapointed his $70 thousand dollar sedan just got beat by a $30 thousand dollar sedan.

He has the SuperChips tuner...he can set the governor to a higher speed..

It was! The SC Flashpaq gets rid of that for you. since I installed the new cam I've had the spedo past the 160 mark.

I thought they were governed to 145 stock? Ive hit 140 before, Im 100% stock, other than Suitcase removal.

The basic RT is limited to 128 if I remember correctly...the Daytona & R&T is 145....

Correct, the Daytona and R/T with the Road and Track package (it's called the "high speed engine controller") ups the top speed to about 145MPH. Supposedly due to the higher speed rated tires.
Otherwise, it's 128MPH. I think SRT's come w/o a limiter?
In any case, a tuner allows you to eliminate the limit.

My dealer told me that if they see anything in your programming that looks tampered with, say by a flashpac, then your warranty is void, so no need to do it until you are out of warranty. I also have to say I am not sure about the governer. I have had my R/T without r&t up to 135 now. I know my speedo is not off, still all stock. except K&N filter. I had it ordered and recieved it in mid may 2006.

This dyno is with all of my current mods. I don't know if you were serious about the throttle body spacer or just making fun of my post. My Flywheel horsepower is right around 400

I am also curious about the spacer; no joke. I looked at two brands and am not sure the difference between them or what they will improve. Without knowing what other mods you have, can you speak favorably about just the spacer mod alone?

All of my mods are listed in my signature. As far as the throttle budy spacer I couldn't tell if it made any difference. I saw on the forums that a lot of people had it installed so I bought one. The is one thing i do like about it. It makes a cool whistling sound:grin:

It does nothing at all. I'm sure you think that is actually the case. Whistling sound is due to turbulence, turbulance causes drag, drag on air entering the intake system is not good (it has enuff to deal with already!) :)

150mph? I got to take my wife's car for a little spin to see if I can get to 150. My 00R at 140 was quite a ride -- I can't imagine what a stock suspension R/T would feel like at 150. That would be a handful. Can you post a video??
