View Full Version : Rear Diffuser Clarification - NOT SRT8 Type

Just a little friendly comment/advise.

Your site states the following for the rear fascia accent panel.

"Add an agressive and distintive look to the rear of your vehicle. Rear air diffuser is Black in color and includes simulated hexagon grille inserts."

IMHO - You could mention that this part is NOT a SRT8 diffuser.

uhhh my guess is maybe, just maybe, it's for the site the thread was posted in?

Because I only know of one diffuser, and that's the one pictured here, which is the one on their site, which also is the rear of an SRT8.

IMHO - You could mention that this part is NOT a SRT8 diffuser.What's the inserts anyway?? Those are on the front. :confused:

There are no inserts. It is just a part of the diffuser. A hexagon pattern.
The SRT-8 diffuser has no pattern. Also the SRT-8 diffuser wraps all the
way around the exhaust tip. The Mopar does not, it stops right over
the top of the exhaust tip. It appears not to be quite as big. It is designed
for non-SRT-8 Chargers.

hmm well i'll be.. I had no clue, that there was 2 different ones. Well then who really does sell the ones with the hexagon pattern? I was going to get one and now I see the place I was going to go to doesn't really sell it. lol And why the heck are there 2 different versions? I could understand if they were on different models of chargers or an 05/06 type of deal, I think I missed a memo somewhere, thats just odd.

I bought the srt-8 one.... and then returned it after findng out that the bumbers are different...

the srt-8 diffuser will not fit on the non srt-8 rear bumper....

what's the difference between an SRT 8 rear bumper and an RT rear bumper? Can you mod the non-SRT bumper?

ya, u just dont get the exact srt rear air diffuser tho, its a tiny bit different, see the pictures

top = r/t sxt or se with it on
bottom = stock srt 8

If you don't have an SRT-8 bumper you can insert the Daytona part.
P/N 82209767 It installs with plastic pop rivets that come with the kit

Most people won't know the difference. I don't think the early Daytona's have this part but the 2008 models do.
