Hey all,
Just got done doing the SRT Track Experience at Atlanta Motor Speedway and I just wanted to let all you SRT owners know it's well worth your time. For anyone that was there with me today, I'm sure you'll agree. You really get the feel for what our vehicles can do. And yes, we do get to drive the Viper too. Whoo hoo! :rockon:

I was there friday with another friend from Athens Ga...sorry did not get to meet you!...WOW .....what an experience!....I'm hooked!........I brought my black SRT Charger...very professionally done Mopar affair....actually scared me silly when I saw that VERY HIGH Atlanta track bank but after a few runs liked it!...Dodge and the the Skip Barber school deserve tons of credit for such a valuable fun learning experience that was totally jam packed with activity...I want to enroll in his advanced performance school now...met folks from Sweden, Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri etc...what a great crowd of people...This was a lifetime opportunity for me and anyone who has not been
NEEDS TO GO TO THE SRT TRACT EXPERIENCE...It will make you a better driver and flat put a BIG smile on your face.

How much does this cost? The site says $500, but then says the TE Costs is included in the cost of your car. Was this a benefit I wasn't aware of? What did you get to do with YOUR car? The VIR is coming up soon, and I might want to give it a go...

OH-MY-GOSH!!! How come my dealer didn't bother to mention this??? I must do this. I'm going to register for Lime Rock CT in November!!!!

At the end of the day's experience, each of us could choose a vehicle of our choice and a pro instructor would drive us around the Atlanta Motor Speedway track and road course and show us how these vehicles "really perform"...Well...it was BETTER than Disney World....screeching tires, drifting, break lockups, 180 degree spins...in my case he was running a charger SRT at about 125-140mph IN THE CORNERS...what a thrill!...A pro driver can show you stuff that you would not think possible...I was humbled by the experience...you will leave with wanting more of it.

That was one of the best "rides" I have ever been on when I went to the SC event in May...we went into one hairpin curve and I felt the car beginning slide out and the instructor went "opps"....he quickly regained control and just gave me a grin..:nervous s

Well...I share your excitement...in that last "fun scare you to death" run in the Charger, I was quite grateful that my mother always taught me to wear fresh underwear...the pro driver was dead calm, not a bead of sweat, but he had the most sly slight smile...I think he was having FUN too...During the many solo runs (behind the pace car of course, 3-4 car lengths) common speeds were 100-115 mph....AND IT'S ALL LEGAL !!!!
