Chrome tips and straight pipes.

Well I went in today to check on some chrome tips and decided to have the guy cut my mufflers out and pipe it. I'm going to keep the mufflers and put them back in if I don't like the sound. Got my fingers crossed. I'll keep you posted.

The tips will be the same size as the original tail pipe, I think the guy said 2.5 inches. I'm hoping it sounds okay. I'll try and do a video of before and after. I had my truck piped before and I liked it. I just want something so if I step on it, which I usually do, it's got a little growl. Like I said, I'll keep you posted.

i'm bettin' it'll sound like ****, probably blend in with the harleys that go by my place that the guys figure they're making power but it sounds like previously mentioned.

Well yeah, wouldn't expec much power, if ANY from it, and I would expect your MPG to drop by about 2MPG's. It should sound good though ;)

Man, I didn't know this was going to tick people off so much. Actually, if it's anything like my pickup I did it should be fine. The only time it really got loud was when I'd stepped on it-- wait a minute, that's everytime I drive. Really the only reason I decided to go this route is I can't stand having a sports car that doesn't make any noise others have put in expensive exhaust systems and don't like them. I'm taking a $120 dollar risk-- no big deal to me.

I took some video of the stock sound in my driveway and then one driving so I'll post the clips comparing the two. If I don't like it, I'll have him put the mufflers back on, but I did hear a pickup today start up that had pipes and man did it sound good.

No looking back now; it's in the shop as I type. I won't get to the video until Friday sometime. Rest assured, a guy with few teeth reaffirmed my choice-- yikes!
