While looking at the Daytona grille at moparsupercenter.com I noticed they had the REAL grille and then the inserts for less then half the price.

Are the inserts good enough where you cant tell its not the real grille?

the inserts ARE the "real" grill. the daytona grill consists of the honeycomb inserts and a flat black grill "shell" (the chrome part on most chargers). So the inserts are parts for the "real" grill, just not the flat black shell.

OHhhhhhhhhh!

SO the ebay auctions are trying to mislead you when they tell you you can have the Daytona grill but are selling you a whole grill for between $200-$300?

If they're trying to sell you a "complete" grille, then you SHOULD be recieving the flat black crosshairs, the flat black honeycomb insert, and the large red R/T emblem that goes into the grille. Those 3 parts combined should be about $200.

So you're looking for one or all of 3 different parts:

Grille (Crosshairs) - the paint-matched, or chrome, or flat black part of the grille

Grille Insert - the piece that fills in the 4 holes of the crosshairs. Stock for standard R/T and below are the horizontal slat inserts. Daytona's come with the honeycomb style, which is what a lot of us upgrade to.

Emblem - self explainatory
