Now that the new Dodge Challenger (http://www.challengertalk.com) has been offically announced for production, questions on the vehicle will be allowed however the amount of information the team is allowed to give is still somewhat limited. The recently announced SRT-4 Caliber (http://www.caliberforums.com) is fair game as is the new Jeep Cherokee SRT-8 (http://www.cherokeesrt8.com)

Last but not least, don't forget to drop by our newest forum dedicated to the Dodge Nitro (http://www.dodge-nitro.com) at the following URL: http://www.dodge-nitro.com.

Not a moment too soon. Hopefully we will hear about the shift hesitation fix. Thanks for setting this up JayC.

Okay guys, remember the rules here.

Prime Directive #1: Do not harm the native life forms. (Dont harass the engineers, they do this on thier own time, becuase they want to do what they can for the community)

Prime Directive #2: Follow the rules. If they say they cannot discuss a certain topic, they cant, and thats that, trying to find a way around their restrictions just gets annoying.

Prime Directive #3: Expect heavy moderation while the chat goes on. Abusive or harrasing posts will be deleted.

Prime Directive # 4. Also, do not expect them to address non-SRT specific items. Meaning 5.7 or 3.5 specific stuff, or items about the car that are common, like windshield wipers. Ive asked about a non-SRT engineer chat and was told that those others guys engineer cars, not talk to car owners.

Do you think they can answer this question?

Here's my only question:

Let's say I wanted to buy a complete, brand new World Engine 2.4L Turbo (used in the Caliber SRT-4) for mad science. Is this allowed by the corporate masters?

If not, why not?

If so, when, where, and how much?

----

I would also like to add that I can buy an Ecotec, Honda 2.0, etc. Why can't I find a dodge engine like that?

Ah, becuase they havent fielded that engine yet? But really, log in tommorow night at the right time and ask them:) . And even then, it might be a while. They might resrict to dealerships for replacement only for the first while, like the 6.1s, suck to have the factory slow down becuase hot rodders are buying them all.
