Hey guys,

I'd like to get a M&G together this Friday (8/18) out at Denton Dragway (http://www.dentondragway.com)

Come out, meet other members and get some 1/8 mile times for your ride. The weather will be pretty hot still so we may not get the best runs, but it ought to be a good time either way.

Here is the information they have at their website for the Friday night event:

Midnite Madness
7pm-1am

I believe if you get there between 7 and 11 then the cost is $15, if you show up after 11 PM then the cost is $10.

I look forward to meeting many of the N. Texas guys that I know are out there!

Where are all of you guys coming from (I'm in McKinney)? Just wondering if it would be plausible to meet up some where and all cruise to the track together.

I'm trying to talk MangoInTX into coming as well (he's in allen). If you guys know any other members from the area that may be interested as well, point them in the direction of this thread. I'd love to get as much representation as possible out there :rockon:

Is I35 (E or W) easily accessible for you. If so, that'll be your best bet. Just hop on the highway and head due North. You'll pass 380 a couple miles before you get to the track. That (I35 & 380) might be a good place for us to get together if we are so inclined.

Might be the first weekend SWMBO is over for her stay...so might be difficult...although I might actually be able to convince her to come as well!

The only problem I foresee with these state forums is the fact that the Texas one doesn't show any meets that might be near a border.....

That's not too bad of a drive for me. I need an excuse to take a road trip anyways. Unfotunately, That's only two weeks after my daughter is to be born, so I won't be able to make this one. I'll keep my eye out for some more M&Gs around the area.

Arf you've got a good idea there...we need to schedule a good weekend trip with some of the local members on this board and try meeting others in a centralized location. That would be a real cool event! :cool:

Yeah let's just meet in the mall's parking lot. It's very easy to find. Just take 35W north as mentioned, then about 1/2 mile after 35W and 35E merge you'll pass 380. Another mile down the road you'll see the sign for 288, get off there. The "mall" is pretty much the only thing you'll see on the right once you get off the highway. Turn in where you see the Stonehill Center Sign and just park in the big open area of the parking lot. The great thing is that there will be very few other cars there. Our cars will stick out like sore thumbs :cool:

I'll be bringing a portable air compressor and bags of ice if anybody feels they need any of these items. I'll also be bringing the digital camera as well as the camcorder to take some pics and vids of the outing. Don't worry, I'll also bring my laptop with EVDO card so arfur can keep the post count climbing while at the track :D
