Would I see a huge difference if I use a polisher, opposed to doing it by hand?
Thanks
yes. it also depends on what youre using the polisher for and what polish product you are using. zaino says no to polishers, but ive been using it for awhile with zero problems.
i have the mothers ball polisher that fits on you hand drill.

zaino doesn't like polishers because they can build up a little heat while applying the product and supposedly it doesn't "stick" as well.

There is no substitute for a good old hand waxing.

I use a polisher just to buff the finish with lambswool...works great! Really makes it shine like glass!

I use a porta cable DA for polishing much easier then doing it by hand.

I only use the power buffer for final buff. The best is still by hand in my opinion. Plus you have a better sense of acomplishment.

The problem with polishers,(i detail airplanes for a living), is u have to watch out for heat build up. It will damage the paint!!!! The main prob is really bad swirls!!! It may look shiney but if u look at it from an angle in the light u will see all the swirls from the buffing pad. I have tried every pad out there and there is no pad that doesnt produce swirls!!
