So I bought this 5-piece kit:
http://www.autotrucktoys.com/dodge_charger/product1.aspx?SID=29&Product_ID=13213

It arrived the other day. The instructions have me pulling off the bumper. Has anyone else done this? It is a real PITA? My friend put the Bently grill in his 300C and it took him like 3 hours. :)

Also, with this grill, will I still be able to use the R/T emblem with the classic Charger script? Or will that not snap on properly to this grill set?

Thanks!

Okay after digging around in the archives, I got a good idea of how to do it without taking off the bumper. :) I just need that fancy Craftsman ratchet thing and some square-headed bits.

I am not too sure if I can get the R/T emblem to work with this grill though. Can someone enlighten me? How does the emblem attach?

Thanks!

Dont know about the emblem. But you did a search? There is TONS of threads out there with how others have installed the grille. I never touched the bumper but paid a lil (just a couple scrapes) price. Took me a while to do, but if I had to do it again, would take like 15 to 30 minutes.

I think I might hold off on these. After looking at the instructions, they have me screwing the grill inserts directly into the chrome crossbar. :( Do other grill sets do this?

Dude, go to Radio shack or an auto store and get yourself some zip-ties, and tie that s*cker on your grill. Easy as it can be. You don't even need to remove the grill. Use the little bars that holds the aluminum strips to the other on your new inserts, as a zip-tie point.
