License Frame w/ Rear View Camera

Some of you guys know that I installed tvandnav2go REC navigation and DVD Changer about 2 weeks ago. If you haven't see this thread, click on link - http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18204

Anyway, tvandnav2go has 2 video inputs on back of REC navigation. One goes to DVD Changer and second input goes to rear view camera which installed last Friday. I got license frame rear view camera from ebay. Costs me $180. Well worth it. Its quality is excellent. It even have night vision (post last pic below).

I had them wired to reverse lights so it automatically switches to the cam NO MATTER what the nav screen is on when you put it in reverse. I love this!!!

Only thing I don't like is bottom part of frame. I'm going to order some decals on bottom part.

Thats a beautiful thing. I have to get that. I have the lil box next to my plate and it looks awful. Came with the HU.

I swear, if I could get paid for the mods that you have done, I'd be able to buy another Hemi. lol.

You've helped push me over the edge for going with the TVandNAV2go.. I was wondering if it mirrors the image behind you like a rear view mirror does?

Plate frame looks pretty slick. I'd probably paint the frame body color except for the part that's holding the camera.. I like mine inconspicuous so people aren't aware I see them picking their nose behind me. (well, if my rear view camera was functional :) ) Chrome stands out, know what I mean? Then you probably wouldn't have to worry about the bottom...

Yeah, camera view is much lower than rear view mirror. It helps to back it in better. You can also look out for something to block behind your car like bike, shopping cart, etc that you couldn't see in mirrors.

But does the image project backward onto your screen like a true mirror.. Say, if you held up a word in view of the camera, would you be able to read the word normally on the screen or would it appear backward?

Question where can i get this exact camera like you have for your license plates and last question can this be hooked up directly to navigation radio? or do i need tvnnav2go kit to make it work? Basically i have a dealer that will do the mod i think they just didnt have the correct type of camera to do it on 300 cause its so low. Thanks

You can get license frame w/ camera from ebay. It's cheaper there than other website. I think I got it $100. They have black or chrome.

As for monitor, you will have to send it to tvnnav2go for modification. They can put 2 inputs for video. I use DVD changer and rear view camera.

Wow! Those little cameras have come a long way in the video quality department. I remember just a couple of years ago you couldn't see *!@# out the back!

Nice!! Installed a slightly different version of the BOYO on my Mini last year for looks, installing the black zinc version for Charger for safety. (I do a lot of backing up in parking lots.) Pictures do not do it justice, the image quality is AWSUM.

I Got That Same Mod, I Did Mine A Little Different.i Cut Off The Whole Frame And Just Have The Camera Part. So When You Look At It.you Can't Tell It's There.
