I've been browsing reviews on the Charger and someone said this...

Review: The 3.5 liter is the best deal price- wise. It gets about 20 miles to the gallon, and is great on acceleration. Only uses 4 cylinders on interstate driving. Uses 6 when needed.

The V6's don' shut off two cyclinders do they? I thought just the Hemi did that.

Correct. V6's are all on all the time. The 5.7L HEMI is the one with the MDS system that shuts down 4 cylinders when appropriate.

I have the R/T and it does have MDS. I do not think the V6 has the MDS. In fact that would not make much sense. You would think if they were going to put MDS in a V6 they would have just made a kick ass 4 banger.
