I'm totally stoked to see good stuff being produced by Mopar for the 5.7L Hemi's, but what's taking them so long to do things for the SRT-8? The SRT lineup is supposed to be the "in-house tuner" brand, and so far all they've done is release aftermarket parts that allow the R/T engines to achieve near-SRT performance, while still maintaining MDS.

C'mon Mopar, don't make me regret getting an SRT-8 instead of an R/T!

MPSC, do you know what parts Mopar is going to push out for the 6.1L Hemi this year? Headers, heads, cams, exhaust, PCM? The only thing I can buy if I want to go Mopar is the CAI, woo woo...

Currently the cat-back exhaust is available as well.

We are under the impression that the headers will be released shortly, and that more items are in development. I will know more information by next week after my visit with some of the folks who make the decisions on such products.

Oh sweet, I see the exhaust there too.

Are there any dyno numbers, or Dodge claims for HP produced with the catback and CAI?

Do you guys sell the lighted SRT-8 door sills, and the rear-seat DVD system? I can't find either on your website, I checked.

How do you define boltons?

Considering that the $ diff. bet. loaded RT/RT and SRT is only about 6K, you don't get a better deal than that. To fully replicate an SRT, incl. brakes, body mods etc, it would be far more than a stock SRT, and you wouldn't get the "true" limited status. Than you figure that starting w/350 hp, bolt-ons take you to SRT level. Well, SRT starts w/425, so add bolt-ons, S/C etc, and kick it up to over 500hp easy. Plus, a stock SRT has no warranty issues, unlike aftermarket RT parts. Give me my limited edition SRT any day!

I know you can't fully replicate an SRT for $6k, but you can beat it or at least hang with it off the stoplight for around that price. That's depressing.

I understand why Mopar doesn't care, the market for the 5.7L is massive, probably 10-20x larger than the 6.1L, but come on, take care of your most hardcore enthusiasts already!

We should have some new info. on this in the next couple of days. Ted is in route to the SRT nationals and he should be meeting the Mopar guys there. I am sure he will have some good news for us as soon as he gets back.

Having had a modded RT and now drive an SRT...ain't no way in heck that $6k will make a 5.7 even "hang" with an SRT....ask slickrick...he spent more than that before giving up...:smoke:

How fast would an R/T with intake/heads/cams/headers/exhaust/PCM be? I'd bet it would beat the SRT-8 in the 1320, quite handily, and still have MDS.

I know it wouldn't still compare to an SRT-8 in every category, like handling and braking, but still, how many times do you race people where your handling or braking really matters? If you're on the freeway doing 60-90 runs or at the drag strip, the R/T will eat your lunch.

Yah ok, so there's labor too, it would probably all run about $10k... but still, it's a bummer that there are so many options to choose from for the 5.7 but so little for the 6.1. I really want to see heads/cams/headers at least, and a PCM, for the 6.1.

I want to get around 500rwhp w/o FI on my SRT-8, or at least know that I can. With enough bolt-ons and a PCM, that should be possible.
