View Full Version : SVT Focus = DEAD - Mustang GT = DEAD

As I was returning home from the movies about 30 minutes ago, a black, lowered SVT Focus, with a big fart can pulls up next to me at the stoplight and starts reving his engine. The guy, who looked like a 30+ year old, should have known better, in my honest opinion..Anyway, he kept reving his engine and looking at me, but since my window is tinted up, there was nothing he could see. As I was lowering down my window to compliment the sound of his farting can the light turned green and the tw*t flored it. He was about 2 cars in front of me before I stepped on the gas, but however, at about 75 his front fender was by my rear door. By that time, I was already pulling away from him pretty da*n hard, and that's when that tw*t decided to give up. :knockout:

On the next light I rolled my window back down, to finally compliment the can he had put on his car, but by that time he was rolling his window up, and he stopped reving his zetec already.

About 5 minutes away from my house, as I was exiting off of highway, a grey 06 mustang GT with white racing stripes *viper? :silenced: * just totally scared the sh*t out of me, due to him following me so close, I was afraid to break at the yellow light and ran thru it (of course, his dumb butt didn't seem to care), so did he. Right after that, he flors it and off he goes. I was pretty pissed, but figuring that it was 11PM and I know for a fact that all the cops are stuck up at this time around this area, I decided to let go...

At the next stop light, i catch up with him, and i had a feeling that he was going to take off on that green light, which is when i turned my traction control off :) and buckled up. In the grey mustang there was an ugly boy and an ugly girl. He kept his eyes on the light, as she was mumbling something towards me, and giving me that silly smile. UGH!

Light turns green, we both take off. First 5o or so feet he gets me about a fender, but before you know it, the inferno red starts catching up! At about 70 MPH I was already in front of him by about a fender and we were both about 100 feet from the next light, and on our left was a gas station. And of course, in front of the gas station there was a cop getting in his car.
Damn, I had to make a choice..wether to RUN thru that yellow light, and have a greater chance of getting cought by the cop, or just stoping and letting the GT do it instead..

Well, I decided to stop at the light and just take the damn ticket. I truly deserved it lol! Before you know it, the mustang runs thru the yellow light, and just out of curiosity I look to my left to see if the cop has noticed us, the cop wasn't there! ShooT! I look in my rear view window, and thank god, he wasn't there neither! Then out of nowhere he get on the road on the other side of the road and after the Mustang. About a quarter mile away I lost the sight of the mustang but all I could hear was the exhaust on it, which was pretty damn good, so I gotta give the guy respect for that, and the flashing lights. Few moments after, the light turns green, and of course, just a minute or so from my house, i pass by them. The cop was just getting out of his car, and the mustang was pulled over! Of course, I took the long way home, laughing my as* che*ks off. HAHAH!

I always love to read a story where an opponent ends up pulled over by the cops. Nice read!

I have noticed a trend here, people in the midwest and south race a lot more than people in the north. I have had one race, and I was the integator. People here (unless you are Zach Randolf of course) seem very timid on the streets, I drive next to GT's, old cameros, Covettes, etc. all the time and never a even a rev of the engine. Must be the NASCAR roots that you boys are raised on.

I guess the age plays a role there too...seeing that I'm 19.

Nice story Artee. I am a little disappointed. I have had my car for nearly two weeks now and not one challenge. I guess I am not in the right place at the right time. I would probably rev my engine and just let them go anyways. Discretion is the better part of valor.

AreTee,
Good job with the Mustang; they all seem to think they are faster without the backdoors or something. You chose wisely in regards to the cop though; speaking as a fellow Inferno Red owner, they do seem to attract attention from those upholding the law.

I have only been challenged once since I got the Charger. Some kid (I think, looked like a teenager) in a Toyota Solara took a run at me. We were on a street here in town that is notorious for its police coverage due to the amount of accidents. I backed off at 75 when we were coming up to an area I know has a lot of speed traps. He flew off and I fell back. There turned out to be no speed trap set up this particular night so I backed off for nothing. Eh, error on the side of caution right?

I'm still looking for him for a rematch though...

Yep, now you're a confirmed kill on the Toyota board....."Ther R/T was ahead of me then I suddenly flew by him once my variable valve timing kicked in...Those Chargers are sooooo slow!!!".

Wise choice in my book. + your driving the Charger, not the solara.

Hehe! Dang. What are these kiddo's thinking? I mean, really..If a car that i know for FACT would smoke the living hell out of me, pulls up next to me and starts reving his engine, I sure enough wouldn't even try and waste my gas or risk getting that ticket. I mean, really..what hapenned to common sense? :knockout:

Sable, just reading through your sig, I'm wondering if you have gotten a tune yet or not. To me your numbers seem a little low, but that could be a number of factors. You've got the LS6 in that thing right? If you have not yet tuned the thing yet, let me know and I can try to hook you up with some of the guys that were tuning the LS1s a couple years ago when I had my Z28.

Nice mod list though, that CAGS is definately worth it. I always hated the damn 1-4 shift. What is your car weighing in at the track, and do you happen to know what the DA was when you ran your 13.0?
