Seems most people here have their minds made up on the wax they prefer and it may be hard to get anyone to change their minds. I for one, use Formula 113 and will not switch to any thing else.

For the protection offered by Zaino and F113, the price of the F113 is a WAY better deal. I've used both and I'll stick with the stuff that works just as good for 1/6th price and doesn't take all day to apply...

They only say that when you're ahead of every one else. :D

Those reports are often biased, much like Consumer Reports. I've tried many different brands, Zaino leaves an amazing finish, but the time and cost involved aren't worth it when you can buy F113 for much less and achieve the SAME results in a fraction of the time.

Haven't tried either so I couldn't argue! My Zaino does come today though so we will see if I will be converted lol.

disclaimer.... yes i use zaino and love it however it hasnt helped my gas mileage.

how long does it take you to wax your car? i can do a wash/wax in under an hour with zaino. i thought that was pretty standard? wash it. wax it, let it sit for 20 minutes then take it off...

which is stupid! why waste all that time. the polish isn't going to come off! the more it goes on the more it layers. whether it be a half an hour after each other or 6 months after each other. sheesh!

Wash and dry in just under an hour and maybe another 15 minutes to use either Z6 or Z8 spray. It's the initial application that takes all day to apply. In my opinion the shine and ease of keeping it that way are well worth the time spent.

I've tried Formula 113 and it's a great product. It just didn't seem to have the same beading quality or long life. Just my opinion and I have nothing scientific to back it up. In fact I probably reccomend Formula 113 more then I do Zaino. Most people are not as crazy about their cars as we are. There is no way they would even dream of spending all day or even all weekend waxing their car! So Zaino is not even an option for them. Now I'm not talking about people who CHOOSE not to spend all day waxing their cars but are crazy about their cars (like crazy_luck). I'm talking about the people who's idea of car care is to run it through the car wash at the gas station every few months! Formula 113 is a great option for them. It goes on and off easier them most conventional waxes and leave a great shine.

Now if you don't mind spending 4-6 hours washing and waxing your car about every six months. Or are really sick like me and actually enjoy it then Zaino should be your weapon of choice!

Just my opinion, your mileage may vary, etc., etc., etc.

I haven't done an actual wax to my car yet, just the soap that has a slight wax protectant in it. I need to give her a real coat of wax, but I've been worried about it ruining the decals. So far Zaino and F113 haven't had bad effects on anybody's decals?

Both have been fine on my decals. Your choice.

If you are looking for a wax/sealant that will give you a nice look w/out a lot of prep & very good durability and can find locally I would recommend Collinite 845. You can find it at an Advanced Auto that has a marine section. It goes on very nice, a little bit goes a long way, and as long as you don't put too much on it should come off pretty easily. If you put on too much just spray a little QD to help w/the removal. The beading action is very nice as well, once you get going you'll be amazed as the water gets into one big blob and slides right off the car..
