A wednesday night cruise in would be fun to organize. I had a chance to drive with one of the Porsche Clubs and I think GT Imports in Wilsonville (I hope I have GT's name right) last May. I cancelled due to rain and haven't have the chance to go again. Several guys I work with race a couple times per year.
I think they run 30 or so laps at 10 laps per run. They break the group down into skill level to keep things competitive. You also can only pass on straights. My car had only 1500 miles on it at the time too, so I was a little nervous, since it is my daily driver. I'll let you know when I get the chance again.

Do they run em Wed. Fri. & Sat? I was just contemplating going out there. Is it a matter of just driving in and paying your $22, or do you have to get inspected?

I know they run them Fri & Sat nights. I thought Wed night was bracket racing only but I could be wrong. Your first time you will pay $32. $22 for racing & $10 for your car number that is good for 1 calender year. It will then be $22 a night thereafter. Just make sure to check PIR's schedule online to make sure they are running on a given night. Sometimes other events may interfere. You will have to go through tech., but for our newer cars you will have no issue. If you think you will go faster then 13.99 make sure to bring a newer snell approved helmet. I bring mine everytime hopeing changes I make will get me there. Gettin close.... Lol...

Cool! Yeah the website isn't really clear about the Wed. night thing. Someone told they did in conjunction with the beaches cruise in. Thanks for the info. I hope to get out there soon and see what my car will run at.
