A co-worker asked me for some help today, and I didn't know what to tell him. So, I thought I'd present the question/problem to the automotive gurus here on the forum.
He has stains on his vehicles from the water from his sprinkler system. His sprinkler system uses ground/well water, and in my area there is a lot of iron in the water which tends to stain everything. The question is, what can be used to remove the stains (if that is possible)? Also, is there something to put on the cars (wax, polish, etc.) once the stains are removed (if they can be) to prevent the vehicles from staining again?
Thanks - again - in advance for your help.

I have heard the vingear will remove the water stains. He will need to polish and was afterwards as the vingear will strip the wax.

WD-40 does a good job removing water spots, too! It also removes the wax, so re-wax after using...
And a coat of good wax should help keep spots from forming...

I know what Deer Park water is...I just didn't understand your question. And now, I'm even more confused. Please keep in mind that in 20 minutes, I'm leaving to head on a weeks vacation, so my mind is not focused on much else. :D

A deeper well can also help, in certain areas.

Why not suggest that he adjust the sprinklers to not water the driveway.
