View Full Version : Great way to mount grille badge!

I used small Eye screws (found in picture hanging packs) Don't screw them all the way in, buts there is plenty to grab the badge... I went the extra step and use a small dab of super gule to make sure they don't back out. As you can see you can't see them at all. Then I used thin wire and wired it to the grille! TA DA! :happy: Works and looks GREAT!!!

I tried that stuff yesterday and it didn't last at all. It's crap!


And thanks for the tip. Just in time, my replacement grille and R/T badge just got UPSed this morning.

What kind of wax did you order at 4:00am in the morning on an Infomerical? :lol:

3M tape eh? I wouldn't think it would stick and stay with it only contacting just a little bit of the grill.

i just ordered the rt badge for the grill. i dont have the honeycomb grill on my rt silver steel. its the slotted type grill. will the eyebolt thing work just as well. im hopin, i ordered the big red with chrome around as found on the daytonas. any help would be great thanks guys

If it is an original it comes with two bolt mounts on the back. I got 2 2" bolts and some big washers. You can use the washers as a back plate against the slats on the grill and it will hold the R/T on perfectly. I put a drop of thread lock on as well to avoid vibrations loosening things up. I have had mine on for a month and it works fine

Does anyone know where to get a chrome grille emblem? I can only find the red one, or a chrome decklid emblem. Has anyone tried to put a decklid emblem onto the front grille?

My brother put the chrome RT on his grille...ordered thru our Dodge dealer. I like the red but the chrome looks good and is not so common.

Just noticed you wanted other than the rear deck...this will stick well to the grille...have not seen a chrome rt specifically for the front.
