Costco's prices are usually pretty solid, but the selection varies...

Looked ay Cosco quite often.. Never seen 18" tires there..
Will keep looking though.. Maybe the next question should be.. What's the best tire for the 2006 Charger// I drive 140k's a day just work and home.. Need somethings thats going to give me some good miles for them!

check 1010tires.com, there you have plenty of choice, if you found some tires, do and see if your local Garage is able to get them for you.....I have done this a couple of times already for some other cars and the Garage was matching pretty much the price from 1010

What are you guys thinking for winter tires? I've done some reasearch on behalf of a friend and here is what I put together (he has an RT with the R&T package so 235/55/18s as stock):

Two articles I found mention snow tires for the Charger:
canadiandriver.com/articles/pw/traction2006.htm
conti-online.com/generator/www/us/en/continental/automobile/general/news/policevehicles_en.html

The first one is an article saying that they are recommended and that the Charger is a bit of a brute in the winter. The second link is to the Continental Tires web page and a press release saying that their ContiWinterContact TS790V tires are the choice for the police Chargers but they are using the smaller size tires 225/60/18s.

Using this website miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html you can plug in your original tire sizes and then play around to see how other sizes match up. 215/60/18s are the exact same as your factory tires diameter but a little narrower. You could even go with 205/70/17s if you wanted as a 17 inch tire will be cheaper then an 18 inch one.

Staying with the factory 235/55/18s you are actually looking at tires that they classify as light truck/SUV tires. The winter tires I could find in this size are the:
Bridgestone Blizzak DM-Z3
Michelin Latitude X-Ice

The Blizzak DMZ3s go for $229 each. There is also the Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50 Winterbiter in the 235/55/18 size and they sell for $255.99 and get the same reviews as the DMZ3s.

This is a little off topic, but I am interesting in selling my stock tires.

I invested in some rims for the charger and so I have the original tires (still mounted on stock 18's) that I could be convinced to sell. They have 1500km with no burnouts or any other fun (I babied my car for the first 1000km).

I live in Ajax, so pickup wouldn't be too difficult. Make me an offer if your interested. You can PM me.

If we can make a deal, I will pull the rubber off the rims for you (I intend to use the stock rims as my winters).

1010tires.com is who I would highly recommend. I have bought 3 sets of rims and tires from them. The last set I ordered had Nitto drag radials, they don't normally sell them, but they can. Their prices are great if you live in Canada, you will only pay one tax(outside of Alberta), no duty or brokerage and shipping is cheap. Call them if you don't see what you want, they definately can get them. Good luck and post pics of your beefcakes when you get them.

Personally, I think that first article is a load of crap. I drove my SVT Lightnings for a total of 5 winters with snow tires. It's a heavy truck that has all of it's weight in the front. It's 4700 lbs and has no traction control. I never put any sand bags in the back, nor did I never have a problem with a good set of snow tires on it. The Charger is a rear wheel drive car. If you've driven that all your life through winters, you won't have a problem. You know how it moves, when to slow down and what to watch for.
