Does anyone know how to disable the "your seat belt is not plugged in, loser" dinging for the driver and passanger seats? Im not sure that all Chargers come with this feature, but here in NY they do. When I asked the Dodge mechanic to do it for me, he accused me of getting him involved with the consipiracy to committ a crime.

Look in the owners manual. There is a combination that you have to do. This is from memory, because I did it 3 weeks ago as soon as I got my Charger. Turn Key to on. Buckle and un bucle the drivers side seat belt 3 times in 10 seconds, turn the car off. I believe that was it, but check the manual for conformation

Daytona, I dont really appreciate that. I do wear my seatbelt when driving on roads, but my job requires me to drive around a large parking lot from building to building (bringing files, equipment, etc..) and I just hear that dinging all day...

If the manual does not give you a method, then I would just buckle the belt and then sit on it.

Thanks Dad.
When I was growing up my family (five people) and every other family I knew drove around in cars and no one wore seatbelts. And I don't remember an incident.
Now it's a law. I'm so glad everybody's worried about me but if I wanna f'in not wear my seatbelt, I'm an adult and I can make that decision.
It's not affecting you, is it?
Or do you know what's better for me than I do?
Wow, you sound like a democrat

I've been a passenger in 3 accidents that had I been belted in, I would not be here now. So I refuse to wear my seatbelt and I think the warning is annoying as well....

I was in an accident at 50MPH, t-boned another car... I walked away, the car had airbags and I was belted in... people who think seatbelts are there for the lawyers are the same idiots riding around at 90mph on a bike without a helmet or protective leathers on.... (you have all seen that guy in a tank top, shorts and flip flops flying down the highway on a crotch rocket)
I grew up where it was something that was forced on us as kids... and now... I feel like something is missing if i am not belted in....
Oh... and I am not a democrate...and I wont tell you what to do... but I will call you an idiot if you think that you are better off without a seatbelt on...

I appreciate your concern, and that is sincere, all joking aside.
I do wear my seatbelt, I feel very uncomfortable w/o it on.
But it is the law in Florida, and has been since I started driving. When I first started driving I never wore it, was in two accidents and I came out fine.
What got me wearing it was 2 tickets for not wearing it.
I feel forced, not compelled

i dont care what you do, i just think youre stupid for not wearing a seatbelt. do you know how many people die each year who would have lived if they had simply buckled up?

Wasn't this thread started asking how to turn the seatbelt sound off?
By telling me I'm an idiot for not doing something that you think is right you are forcing your morals upon me. You are passing judgment on me. Look in the mirror before you say that republicans force their morals on others.

outlawing abortion is forcing morals.
outlawing gay marriage is forcing morals.
outlawing drugs is forcing morals.
saying youre an idiot isnt forcing morals. if you think it is, then youre not worth my time.

ive done all kinds of drugs. doesnt stop me from going to a top ten engineering school. people are to quick to assume that when they see a loser deadbeat dropout that does drugs, it was the drugs that caused his problems - when in reality he was a deadbeat and would have dropped out with or without drugs.
