What you want to do with an item like this is give it to someone you DON'T like as a Christmas present and go look at their paint after they have used it a few times. I'm surprised AutoGeek even carries that garbage!

So you guys that like them haven't noticed any issues with your paint?

Junkman, you didn't give a whole lot of explanation. Why do you hate the product?

I tried one once. It worked so good, that it I could hear it screech. I can only assume that I was doing something wrong and scratching the paint.

You need to check out my many videos in order to understand my mentality when it comes to paint, but I will go into a little explanation here.

Rule #1: The less you touch your paint, the less opportunity for you to scratch your paint. The Microfiber towel is one of the softest things you can use on your car. However, the improper use of something as soft as that can cause some wicked damage to your paint. This car was never washed since it was painted, but look at what happens when you incorrectly use a soft microfiber towel on your paint:

The owner only used a quick detailer and a microfiber towel to keep it clean. Little did he realize how much damage he was doing to his paint.

So lets look at the CA Water Blade and how it is used. You place the not so soft rubber blade against your paint, apply pressure and "squeegee" the water off your car. If you washed your car in a perfect world, you would be indoors, within a room that contained absolutely zero dust. But in the real world, most weekend car enthusiast wash their cars outdoors in their driveway. This is the same outdoors where at any given moment, dust and dirt is constantly settling on your car. God forbid you live anywhere that has construction going on, or where a good amount of traffic is whizzing past your driveway.

As this dust is settling on your paint, you take a device that effectively corrals that dirt, lines it up and grinds it across your paint. At least the microfiber towel can capture some of the dirt within its fibers but there is absolutely no place for the dirt to go using the CA Water Blade. It simply rides the edge of the blade, slipping below the edge and grinding into your paint as you drag it along. Repeat this process a hundred times and you have exposed your paint to more damage than any towel can do.

Now a lot of people will tell you that there is no damage to their paint after using one of these for years. I see this a lot at shows I go to. I however, keep my pockets full of red pills (a Matrix reference ), and show them how deep the rabbit hole goes. Here's the paint looked like on a guys car who stopped by our tent looking for some quick detailer. When I asked him about his paint, he said it was flawless. I asked him to bring it by our tent. Here's what it looked like:

I thought it looked cloudy, uninspired and scratched to hell and back. At first glace, most people thought it looked good. But look at what happened after I shed a little light on the subject:

That's what I call the red pill my friend. His, and everyone else eyes who were standing around watching were opened and they were all on their way to Zion. I showed him what his paint could look like after hitting it with some Swirl & Haze Remover (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-97-adams-swirl-haze-remover-car-polish.aspx) and then some Fine Machine Polish (http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-140-adams-fine-machine-car-polish.aspx). His daughter (who was going to inherit the car), was very pleased. :D

I show this to people all the time at my clinics. Guys swear up and down about how perfect their paint is and I open their eyes by shedding the light. Check out these pictures:

Most people don't look at paint the way I do. I didn't either until I was freed from the Matrix. Now I can't go to a car show without cringing at some of the cars on display. If they only knew. This is what things like the CA Water Blade, cheap towels and poor washing techniques will do to your paint and is why I am so against using them. My mentality about paint is also why my car looks the way it does, and people can't believe that my car is 9 years old with 111,350 miles on it.

I took the red pill.
