I've got an 07 SXT with the REC NAV 6disc CD changer, Sirius, GPS Nav system. I would really like to hook my Ipone 3g in thru an auxillary input but can't figure out the cheapest way to do this. I'm open to any options but would prefer something that I can easily do myself. Still can't figure out why they didn't put an input on the front of the radio...

cheapest way is the holster things that plug into the cig lighter and take over the radio, but they all sound like crap in our cars (itll always be fuzzy and not as loud).

Otherwise i think you have to just get an aftermarket system setup

Do you have the factory UConnect? If so, you can purchase an iPod harness that plugs into the UConnect module and allows you to control it through the stereo controls.

Here's my install (http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119025). It's part #82212000, ~$40 from the dealer. Works like a charm and sounds good.

Edit: Of course, you'll need to check the part number of your UConnect module and make sure it'll handle the newer harness.

07 and 09 radio hookups are totally different. For his 07, he'll have to get a whole kit, which is significantly more than 40.00.

The harness I'm talking about doesn't connect to the radio; it plugs in to the UConnect module itself (the one behind the glovebox). To be fair, I'm not entirely certain that the '07 factory UConnect module has the same connector, but if it does, there's a pretty good chance that it'll work just fine.

the 06's and 07's don't have that as far as I know (i have an 06 and my brother has an 07 both with UConnect). I think as far as the UConnect goes is just with the mirror and whole bluetooth handsfree setup
