Hey all you fine people,

i would like to invite anyone and everyone to a
"CLUB LX of Michigan" event at Kensington Metroparks in Milford MI. here is a link to their site with maps:

only problem is that i need to know which date works better for everyone; Friday the 26th or Saturday the 27th. remember memorial day is the Monday the 29th.

this is a family orientated event so please bring all that would like to come enjoy the scenic park, some good food and of course to see all the awesome cars. all i ask is that you let me know if and how many will be attending with you. i will be setting a fee to attend once i get more feedback from you guys.i will be talking with some contacts about helping out with helping pay for this event to keep the cost low on us.

NOW, please let me know of any activities you would to have there; volleyball, horseshoes, etc, etc. also please let me know if you have any special eating habits so i can accomadate everyone.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am not into pig roast, I'm more of a burger and hot dog kinda guy. I think we should take a survey on what to eat and who wants to bring what to the BBQ. This way we can get everything settled and get everything together.

Hey Rolo, I was talking about MY appetite. What we really need is to know how many people are going to show up so we can get the right amount of food. I might know where we can get 100 or 200 hotdogs/buns, I work and live near Dearborn Sausage. I can run by there on Monday and see what it would cost I am not sure about the buns though but I can check.

sorry, i have been missing, i had a real bad day yesterday, the kid next door has A.D.D and super hyper so he decided to go in my driveway and show my charger how crazy he is with sticks and rocks:( it took 5 hours of work to get 27 big scratches out of my car and still have 5 more to fix:(
thats why i have only glanced at computer.

but anyway, if you would like to get the burgers and buns RougeWelder that would be awesome. you guys arent gonna leave me with anything to bring:) sssooooo, you DO want to get the burgers?

OK, i went and checked out the park today and reseved our spot. it is shelter-E (possum hollow); right on the water; baseball diamonds; 2 soccer fields; kiddie gym and swings; lots of parking; good size pavillion; volleyball (we have to supply the net); a couple grills in the area. the spots were going like hotcakes, suprisingly there was only one other spot i liked better then ours but was booked 2 months ago. pretty much everything on the list is accounted for.
Man, we're pretty much all set; as soon as more people join in we can get the #'s down.
somebody want to bring some baseball bats? tell your kids not to forget their mitts.

Is today the deadline for signing in for the BBQ? I emailed a few members to let them know about it so we may get a few last minute stragglers. As of now, we have about 50 people. I won't be getting the burgers and dogs for another 2 weeks so we can get a final tally then.

i accidently stepped on a nail; it went through my foot. that was a month ago. i woke up today with my foot swollen, so i went to the doctors and he was in disbelief. he said i have to do surgery right now; i was surprised. he pulled a marble sized absyst out and cut about a quarter sized piece of skin off; bleck. it was fun to watch though. i will be fine for next weekend and if not i will be crawling around to meet some of you guys.

Well, I don't think anyone else will be coming so I will getting burgers and hot dogs for about 60 people. I figure about 75 burgers and 120 hot dogs. Should I get more? I don't think I can get an exact amount because I don't know if they have half cases and they come 80 dogs per case and I'm not sure how many burgers per case but will find out tomorrow.

I would say around a 1/2 hour to Ionia Exit, the Pilot station is on the north side of the X-Way. Besure not to put any wax on that newly painted fender for at least 90 day's.

i dont think i can keep it together. the event i hosted at 131 motorsportspark was a blast and there were only a total of 5 cars. i just keep thinking about 4 times that fun at the bbq. how can i not be excited. that and rogelio is giving me the rims of his car for our bet. lol

Maybe it depends on the brand of paint, Dodge replaced both front doors and rear bumper on my 2000 Dodge Sport truck this winter and they put a sticker right on the window not to wax it for 90 days.

What do you have in the 69 Camaro? I have one thats pretty much set up for drag besides the engine. Mines got 4.11 posi, with a bored out 350 (upgrading shortly). 202 heads with a 502 lift comp cam. Front end is all fiberglass right now as well as the trunk lid. I also have a roll cage and 5 point harnesses for when I do upgrade the engine. But I think im going back to steel on the body parts.

I have procured the dry ice, it is in my works freezer as I type. Did you know Meijer's sells it? - $9 per block. And let me tell you, it is really cold. I was picking up the blocks from their freezer to my Styrofoam cooler when my finger tips froze, really I had white blisters, numb. They are just now getting feeling back. All I kept thinking was how crazy I am buying literally frozen air (co2).
Crap! I just check "Where's my Zaino" and UPS rescheduled delivery for 5/30/06, great, no way I'm going to get more than one coat on w/o ZFX, and no Z8, damn.

OK, i went and checked out the park today and reseved our spot. it is shelter-E (possum hollow); right on the water; baseball diamonds; 2 soccer fields; kiddie gym and swings; lots of parking; good size pavillion; volleyball (we have to supply the net); a couple grills in the area. the spots were going like hotcakes, suprisingly there was only one other spot i liked better then ours but was booked 2 months ago. pretty much everything on the list is accounted for.
Man, we're pretty much all set; as soon as more people join in we can get the #'s down.
somebody want to bring some baseball bats? tell your kids not to forget their mitts.
