MyGiG 2.043 update is out for the RER/REW models

The MyGIG 2.043 update is out for the RER/REW models. I am downloading now and will install tomorrow. I have been using the beta 2.042 release and have liked it much more than 1.220... which was better than the 9.807 release (I wish they would make some sense out of the release numbers).

Here is what the update has:

2.043 RER/REW released October 2009
· Added minimize button to hide/show all buttons on the map
· Implemented PDO release for Nav OPTIONS, both in motion and in static
· Change of all sub screens after HDD AVAILABLE CATERGORIES to read “EXIT” instead of “CANCEL”
· Added Pause/Play button to HDD and Disc per PDO Release <-- I can not believe it took so long for a pause button!
· Diesel Gasoline POI category
· Pop up to notify user that X tracks were successfully copied out of Y tracks
· POI redesign
· New Startup logo and associated changes for “Sterling” vehicle type (DA).
· Added support for Fuel Saver Mode in the HS HEV (new signal FUEL_SA_MD_ACT in CAN VMM820b). Continue to use CYL_DEACT for LS.
· Several bug fixes for POI listing – alphabetical ordering, favorites and nearby POI searches
· Bug fix for phone call VR barge in failure
· Bug fix for incorrect volume after call
· Bug fix for no clock option for +9.5 and +10.5 time zones
· Bug fix for blue screen while scrolling in construction area
· Fix for navigation volume during a phone call
· Fix for disc lock up when trying to add picture from disc
· Bug fix for audio blip when seeking in FM mode
· Fix for Nav Main Menu missing SK
· Bug fix for blue squares displayed on map
· Bug fix for GPS information not populating

Hmmmm.........I wonder how this will work for us guys who are using the mygig in 06/07 models in reference to the clock working correctly..........I remember the last update elminated the "clock fix" that allowed the correct time to display in pre 08 cars

I have the latest version on my desktop, but what's trick on burning it to the correct disk, MY OS is Vista Ultimate.

Yep, But The Mygig "say unable to read Disk" what type of disk Do need?

loaded the update with no problems at all. love the pause option for HDD. all my files were still there. the only things reset were the eq, fade, home destination, and default state. the trick is to use a cd-r and not a cd-rw. gonna do the gracenotes now and need to buy a dvd-r.

OK, I been trying to update with DVD-R.. I will try it with CD-R

just updated to the latest gracenotes 1287. used nero express to rip the dvd+r. rer-2.043 is awsome. love how i'm able to take all the icons and words off the screen and just see a map when using navi and love how the delay is gone when powering up the radio. music starts playing instantly. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f118/dilky71/694102.gif

This one does not have the clock fix either....

I have a Mygig RER and for whatever reason it will not keep maintain the Sat Presets and my music that I uploaded to the HD is gone. My AM/FM Presets are fine, and I had 2-3 pictures that I uploaded which are still there. GPS and Uconnect are fine.


Anyone else have this issue?

There is also a 1.295 update that is specifically for fixing the clock issue in the pre-2009 MyGIG models. It was posted on the same day as 2.043 update. I do not know if 2.043 has the clock fix built into it. I have a 2009 so I can not test it, we'll have to wait for someone to jump in and go for it.
