its in and everything works except... my settings wont save and it turns on and complete off between switching on the ignition and starting the car.

i ran both the red acc and yellow batt wires to my cig lighter im figuring this is the problem but what can i do to fix this?

Yes. Also did you move the fuse to make the cig lighter on all the time?

I didn't have to do that when I installed my double din. I taped into the cig lighter and my radio only comes on when the key is in the acc position or on. I wouldn't want my hooked up "hot" all the time. I never turn my radio off when I get out of the car, I like the way its set now....soon as the door is open and the key is removed from the ign. it turns. Imagine getting out of your car, leaving your radion on (hot wired to always on) and exit out of your car. Your radio is illuminate in the dark and BAMMMMM I thief walks by lol...easy target.

Good point. He has the radio wired directly to his cig lighter. I'm guessing that the cig lighter is not a priority when starting the car and gets momentarily shut off??
