Hello all. I researched the forum somewhat and came up with the conclusion that the ipod intergration kit for a 2006 dodge charger was what I needed to hook up my ipod. I found a company called peripheral electronics who make this item. I went to their website and they recomennded a few different local area shops where i can buy the kit. I have a 2006 Charger R/T as I mentioned earlier and it has the nav radio with the uconnect option. No video/ tv system option. Well the shops that I called said this kit doesnt exist and they show that nothing is even "made" for this car period. Basically I cannot hook up my ipod. Now I know you guys on here have purchased this kit and have hooked up your ipods to an 06. To make a long story short, I just want to know where I can order this piece from. A reputable place online where I can order it. Can anyone shoot me in the right direction, to a website or something? thanks a bunch.

I have a audio jack on my 07. It is the standard stereo, 6 speaker (not nav)

I would suggest an Ipod dock that has a FM transmitter. I saw some in Walmart. They plugged into the Cig Lighter and had a flexible tube to hold the Ipod. It also charged the Ipod when Docked. They were $40-70. All kinds of options.

Screw the FM transmitter, I had one till it drove me insane.
I ended up removing the stock stereo, installed a Kenwood
detachable face w/ aux input.($125) Dash kit needed for $20.
Then I bought a stereo wire (10) and IPOD holder (5) from Wal-Mart.
Installation was 75. I'm much happier now.

If you have a RAQ, REC, or RAK radio, I believe you're looking for this, free shipping too...

Since I found it in about 20 seconds, I suggest not going to any of the shops you called for the install :)

The item on that page says the following
"The CHRY04/PC-POD2 converts the Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) port of the OEM Chrysler / Dodge / Jeep "CAN-BUS" RAQ, REC, and RAK radios to allow simple-mode control of an iPod. The CHRY04/PC-POD2 allows you to maintain the OEM Sirius Satellite Radio."

What do they mean Rear Seat Entertainment port? I dont have the tv in the back seat. Will this still work?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but does this kit come with the portion that plugs into the AUX port of the Charger? I got a 2009 SXT. I don't see it with the picture posted for the product.

Thanks

Yup, got it in my ride and sounds great. I know the website just says 06- but it works. Just email them and they will answer any questions before buying.

I have an 06 with nav radio and my local stereo shop orered a cable that hooks to the video port on my radio. Costs $80 installed. I can use the steering wheel controls to change sons on my iTouch. They ran the cable to my glove box.

I connected a cable, used for 08-09 models, and nothing :S

this cable is connected to the bluetooth brain (located in the right side of the dash, behind the glove-box) but my radio doesn´t "read" the cable :(

then we connected behind the radio (where the u-connect is attached to the radio) and nothing.

I need an expensive integration, used for the 06-07 rak radios, so sad
