Suggestion -

Set up a knowledgebase sub-forum, giving a few trusted people (mini-moderators, if you will) access to add large threads of commonly-asked questions with answers. We see "How fast is the V6?" and "What's the .25mi of the R/T" and "WTF is the performance package?" all-too-often.

Keep The Idiot's Off This Site That Dont' Like The New Car Or Want
To Always Show A Stupid Coupe Version Of It Photo Chopped.
Most Of These Kids Can't Afford One And Alot Of Them Might Be 300
Owners That Are Definetly Jealous. The Charger Is Just Killin The 300
In Every Way. I Know I Used To Have A 300c And I'm Sooooooooooooo
Glad I Got Rid Of That Thing.
Also Please Keep The Photo Gallery Updated.
Site Is Awesome And Thank You For Having It.

Put in a function that automatically bans anyone that that compares the Charger to a Mustang, or cries that it doesn't look like the concept car, or anyone that bitches because it's 4door instead of 2.

That is all.

How about a board or master list for posted 1/4 mile times?

ekool,

I used to own a Camaro Z28, which I just sold it to buy a charger R/T, with R & T Perf. Pkg. In that regard, I regularly visited "CamaroZ28.com" and "LS1.com" (LS1 is the engine designation in 4th generation f-body cars). Both of these forums were tremendously successfull. You might want to view these sites and "borrow" any interesting ideas and structure. Of the two sites, LS1.com was the best. For example they have tecnical information specific to each engine, sections on care and maintenance, wheels and tires, exhaust, etc. And at some point you will need to add "vehicles for sale" and "parts for sale."

In any event, this forum is off to a great start!!!! Keep up the good work. It is definitely appreciated!!!

sub forums for all types of modifications would be nice
ie..
wheels and tires
suspension
internal mods
exterior mods
performance mods
maintenance tips

so on and so forth

nevermind... I'm apparently a dumbass who hasn't looked at the forum subpage for a few days :embarrese

No worries, Z28 mentioned we need a Buy/Sell area too, so I'll add that.

Keep the ideas coming guys!

I agree and not allow the moderators to also go over their line of disrespecting members when they have an opinion. Not allowing the moderators to be just thought moderate, not control.

I disagree with the comment on moderators, and feel that the above post is nothing more then a troll who was caught in lies, called members names when they called the member above on loads of BS... and then the above member was banned just to re-appear....

Just for the record, in case theres any question, sillyme does indeed share an IP address with the banned user, who was NOT just expressing an opinion, but flat out lying. A vehicles top speed is a factual thing, NOT an opinion. It may vary with conditions, but you can't change it by just saying so.

We try to make sure that our moderators always treat the userbase with courtesy and respect. We may not agree with the users all the time, but we do resepct your opinions. If a moderator is getting out of line, the best way to report it is to PM me a link and your take on the situation.

I think we have a good moderation team, so I dont see this as being a problem.

My 2 cents. I found nothing at all wrong with the moderator's handleing of "faith". He was respectful and only called her to the mat on the facts. Faith attacked the community once she was cornered on the facts. This forum has been, and still is a great place ot get and share information and facts. I find it very well maintained and fairly moderated. Please do not change the current team.

Ekool, as it seems that I was the one that opened the entire can of worms by giving my opinion that what was posted didnt add up and followed it up with facts, I should at least offer my view here as well. I believe that everyone has the right to post an opinion as long as it is posted as such, an opinion.

Opinions are a statement of belief and/or understanding and can be easily understood by viewing members to be an opinion. However, all posts here are not always opinions. Post can also state facts and/or provide information. Those who posts facts and information should beware that if the post is wrong or unclear, the forum membership needs to and should challenge it and/or ask for clarification.

One reason for this is that a forum is not like a chat room where people can say anything they want. If they are wrong, on purpose or out of lack of understand, no one who comes into the chatroom even a few minutes later would not know anything about it. In a forum, a post is maintained for viewing by current and future members and can be referred to with links and by copying. If posts with wrong or misleading facts are not challenged then those who read it at a later time may or may not know if it truely is valid or not.

After reading the entire thread that grew out of my challenge, I found that the moderator was not only respectful, but was patient with the member who eventually was banned. I found nothing that he posted to be disrespectful of any opinion, but as I believe about challenging statements of fact, the moderator did what should be done by any member.

Maybe the knowledge of the various technical aspects of the new Charger clouded my judgement and I should have just simply asked for clarification. However, believing the ethics of challenging bad information overcame that decision and resulted in my post. I do not regret it, but I am sorry that it imbroiled the moderator in bad situation.

Actually if you had noticed. She did not continue and he choose to keep going with it. She was not banned. They only tried to ban her for the fact that the moderator did not want to fess up to the fact that he did take it to far. You can not ban someone from your site and then threaten them by saying your going to post something, that is illegal and against common etiquate. Why not try and make people pay for a membership then you can sit there and have all the control over your site as you have. I have noticed that you feel the need to defend and you feel the need to continue the sharade. The fact is you can't sit there and say liar liar pants on fire without a common decent shred of evidence other than I think, I know. Understandable that you may so called have this experience, but still does not give you those rights. If you made it where someone can post a picture sometimes, she probably would have put a picture up. I am sure you would have not believed it either. All I am saying is not to continue this back and forth. Just drop it all, she was telling the truth and you dont believe big deal. Just go on about your life and go proof yourself wrong. There are some people on here that have seen in person what she can do. She didn't feel the need to prove it to the board. I do see alot of slandering against you guys. Trust me not any of it is justifiable. If this doesnt stop now bothering us or her, I am sorry but I may have to take action. It isn't against you or this site, but enough is enough. Now respect that and I will leave you and this site alone. I feel that what ekool said was all that need to be done and was professional. I thank you for that. Just ask for the same in the people you have working on this site for you. Enjoy the rest of the day. I am sorry that it had to come to this and I am sorry that you did not want to believe for your own reasons. I dont want any repleys to this or to us. Just nothing else needs to be said.

GLHS837

Yes it does, damnit! The lies and mistruths continue. And you can't continue to misrepresent what happened, rewrite history and then say it's over.

I kept going becuase she continued to lie. Plain and simple. Continued assertations of proof mean nothing. She has a web page where she can post pics, thats obvious. Or she could email them to a member who can post pics, I'm sure many would volunteer to host them.

I did not ban her, BTW. Nor did I threaten her. I said flat out I would never disclose her full IP address. I said if I was a bad person, I would, but that I never would do that. Please feel free to quote where I threatened to do so.

I called her a liar becuase she made claims she cannot prove. See, the "burden of proof" in on the person claiming to have done things that are known to be impossible.
Please produce these people on here who have seen her do this, and no, you don't count. They must have been members who joined before this incident.

Now, on to this "If this doesnt stop now bothering us or her, I am sorry but I may have to take action" bull. Nobody is bothering "us or her" except to respond to continued efforts to make folks believe she was telling the truth when she wasn't.

How about a small practical thing such as adding the bar at the top of each page also at the bottom. So that when we page down reading posts, we don't have to roll back up to the top to go somewhere else? That might make life a little easier in my humble little opinion.

I'm kinda agreed on that, regardless of what other parts of the country may think, NY is NOT a part of New England, much to the happiness of both parties (MA boy here:))

But neither is it really a Mid Atlantic state.

Hows about we just ignore NY and hope it goes away

maybe we could get a knowledge base for different parts for the car. a section that shows all the different grilles, intakes, exhausts, headers, performance brakes, etc; etc; etc.( with pics  )

REASON 1: so all the new people that dont come here to chat have a place to look before starting a whole new thread just to ask what has already been talked into the ground.(would save alot of time and space for the server  )
REASON 2: we can keep a closer eye on new stuff to hit the market. so if anyone sees any new stuff you could add or update it to the parts catalog or library or whatever you could call it.
REASON 3: it would be a lot easier to find then doing a search and have to look through 100 posts just to find out its not in there (whatever you are looking for that is.)

Did we get anywhere with this? I too would love a "Buy/Sell/Trade" Sub-Forum, as well as an "Audio" Forum. It would sure cut down on the searches, and would allow us to sell off parts we have removed from the mods we've done. Lastly, we should have a "COM", Charger of the Month, we could all vote on it, then that Charger would grace the home page for the month, very similiar to the Dodge Intrepid Forum (http://www.dodgeintrepid.net/)

Just saw over at LXForums they added a hotlink to LX products for sale on Ebay...pretty interesting..hopefully the vendors don't mind.

Also saw this TIMESLIP page....VERY cool. Would be nice to have a grouping of all the times that guys run...what car, details of mods, what track, temps...etc...

Of course the formatting didn't paste well, but you get the idea...

Ive done A LOT of website work, so I always evaluate sites for improvement plans. For this site, I would like:

A link under the user's avator (on each post they make) to link to the user's photo gallery, if they have pictures posted in one.

A "related links" section which will provide links to other Charger sites (Stores, supporting vendors, knowledgebases, etc..) In other words, take all the usefull links that are posted in threads and put them in one easy-to-find, categorized section.

There are lot of post in this thread so if somebody already suggested this, then I apologize.

I think if you had a series of polls on products for the Charger that would be a good resource to see what most people like. For example, do a poll on exhaust, pick the top manufactures of exhaust and let the poll speak for them.

It can be in two parts like

Black Cat exhaust:

I have one and love it
or
I have one and dislike it

This will help members research the exhaust possiblities based on feedback without having to read every post.

Just a thought!

You should have a place for NEWBIES to say HELLO, just like us.
We have been a Mopar Family since 1973. Right now out family owns 9 Mopars.
We picked up our 06 Charger R/T about a month ago. She is red & our first HEMI Car so therefore our handle name of CHERRY. This car is actually my wife's as I am still having my fun playing with the "turbo" FWD Mopars.

I have a 1989 Dodge Caravan ES with a 2.5 (4-cyl) that went 13.968 @ 9814 with a 1.93 sixty foot. I hope to get to meet each and everyone of you at one of the Mopar meets.

I do have ONE question coming in this forum ???? I have driven a couple of Charger R/T's and 2 out of the 3 that I test drove would do massive burnouts once I hit the esp button. The one we have does not, if you hit the button, brake torque the motor it will only spin the tires for about 12-14 feet. Has this happened to any of you ???

Does the room have a drag race section or a performance (bolt ons) section ??

 The site is great with alot of growth. I would like to see an area of clubs. So we could gather and talk. If we had a Saratoga Club and a Dallas Club we could compare meetings and that would be fun and would give this site a chance to grow out of the on-line world into the real-world. I will give an example: I gave a media-play idea at Target for Sponge Bob. Sponge Bob was only in the water and I thought his world would be to small for him to grow in. I suggested that he be able to leave the water and also fly on the back of a Zebra who rescues him from a Island where he got washed up on to. After this suggestion Sponge Bob was on a stage that came up out of the water. Like most great ideas we have we get no credit or money. Lets perhaps, if I may suggest, have a place where members of this site can communicate for the purpose of getting together for food, fun, and frienship.

I'd like to see a section for validated data. This would be split into two parts: dyno numbers with graphs, and 1/4 mile times with timeslips. Full listings would be required for both: relevant mods, dyno type/SAE corrected (or not), and weather conditions for the 1/4 miles. A moderator would ensure that submissions were complete before allowing them to post.

good post rw99. I offered to research the 1/4 mile times and was emailed by the admins that they would stick the times. On lxforums.com they have a killer 1/4 database, and a knowledge base that answer the typical questions we all have about installing xxx mods.

Really well defined. I hope we do that here.

It seems that many of the newbies log on looking for some 'how to' knowledge. The search feature is ok, but doesn't necessarily get the information someone is looking for quickly. In the end, another thread gets started for 180 tstats and so forth. So I suggest a "How to" section. Past threads with detailed information and photo tutorials can be compiled together in the "how to" section. Only moderators can choose the threads to post in this section.

I know there was a thread on here a couple of months ago clamouring for a Canadian sub-forum. I'd like to see that, considering there are subs for areas within the lower 48. (even Candians know NY is not part of NE  ) This has been a great place for me since I joined, even though I haven't figured out how to start a thread yet :embarrese:

For the racing enthusiasts, there should be the 1/4 mileposting area as there are many of you like that on here. Other areas to consider would be the parts for sale. I saw that Pa suggested a link to eBay, but I would also suggest a link that would give access to all the "approved" supporting vendors' web sites be included too. Perhaps a set up like Penroof28 wrote regarding LS1 forums would be beneficial here. I think that would handle the growth this site has seen in the last several months and allow for the obvious growth that is OTW. Ekool, overall, this site is first rate and you have a very good group of moderators. tha's it for me. It's 50 degrees out and I'm going to go outside to sit and stare at the snow and go blind. I'm probably going to get flamed for this but -

How about a limit on signature sizes? There are some members who have pics in their signature that take up the whole screen and a few with lists that go on for ever. Gets very annoying trying to read thru the threads, especially when they have more than one post in a thread. I know I can turn "display signatures" off in the User CP, but there are many out there with links that are useful and if I turned that feature off, I wouldn't be able to see those links.

Maybe a way to do a more specific search. This site is getting so large (a good thing) that some searches just swamp you with results and some people seem to get irritated if you start a thread that has been covered in the past. Also a test section for testing new sigs, avatars, pictures or when you're trying to learn how to use different features. great forum though! Thanks!:D

And just out of curiosity, what was all that debating about? What was that girl claiming she could do that is known to be impossible? I'm intrigued. But i didn't get anything to specifically search for.

Also, how close was I to getting banned when I was having it out with Thunderkiss a few days back? haha. Anyway, i think think it's best to buy American. I don't care how much of the money is spread around when you buy an import, bottom line is you're still sending more money out of our economy when you buy that over a domestic. Even if it's just 1000 by the end of it, that's still 1000 dollars. *wink*

Ok, here is an actuall suggestion for the site.

I noticed something that could be better. Right now after you post 100 times, then you acheive "senior Member" status next to your avatar. Right now I'm a senior member with 125 posts.. but somebody like Hemi Chemi has nearly 8000 posts and he's still a "senior memeber"" That's not very fun.. So here is what I suggest.

Give the member stats names that are consistant with the charger model names...

Example.
0-100 posts = Junior Member
101-250 = Member SE
251-500= Member SXT
501-1200=Member R/T
1201-2000=Member R/T R&T
2001-3300=Member Daytona RT
3301+=Member SRT8

Anyway, just kinda an idea that would give us all something to strive for. What do you think?

I think it would be great if the menu bar at the top of the page (Home, Forums, Active Topics, etc.) was also at the bottom of each page.

I don't know about anyone else but when I'm reading a thread (especially a long one that takes a few minutes to read) I like to click on the active topics link on the menu bar rather then the back button so that the list refreshes. SInce I'm usually at the bottom of a page when I finish reading a thread this would save a lot of scrolling back to the top of the page to get to the link!

Also I would like to see a page that shows all of the threads that have detailed info on how to do a mod, such as esp mod, blinker mod, and rear cam. This would make it easier for more people to make mods. I hope you use these idea's, I enjoy the forum and would like to see it grow.

For the moderators...

I suggest that you compile a list of All MODS... put them all in one post and put it up as a sticky! Only the good mods should be added such as the Auto-Headlight thingy (different versions of it), the ESP mod and any other mods that people vote for positively... along with the DID YOU KNOW post.

This thread should not have any discussions, it should just describe the mod...

Oh good grief - 99% of the posts that ask for opinions on mods and styles are going to get positive AND negative feedback. To start a thread asking members of the forums for their opinion, or post pictures invites BOTH kinds of comments. At the end of the day, the person who owns the ride has got to be happy with it - nobody else really matters. So getting thy knickers in a bunch because some peeps have the audacity to post negative comments is silly. Ignore them and they'll go away. :monster:

Indeed. If you ask for opinions, you'll get opinions. If you only want positive opinions, then why not post the question as:

"Here is (some random mod). I'm planning to do it to my car soon. Kindly fawn all over me and make me feel good about the money I spent on it."

Then the "haters" (heh...is that the new GEN Y...or are we up to GEN Z...term?) will leave you alone.

Toodles,

It would be cool to have a button that just shows the topics you have already posted in. Like the New Posts button, but filtered for only things you have added to.Hi Whiskey, there are a couple of ways you can do this already!
Click your username on the Home page in the Box Online Users. This will take you to your user profile, where you will see, in the Forum Info box, links to All posts by Whiskey and All threads started by Whiskey
Or... Click on Quick Links (http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=677347&nojs=1#usercptools) >Subscribed Threads and that will take you to a list of all threads in which you have posted (unless you turned this feature off)
NOTE: You can change the settings for this globally through your UserCP >Options >Settings & Options >Edit Options >Default thread subscription mode
Or: you can change the subscription settings on a per thread basis, either at the time you subscribe, if you do so manually, or through your list of Subscribed Threads via Quick Links Hope that helps!

It is definitely appreciated!!!

i agree man i had a 2001 z06 corvette an ls1howto.com help me out a lot.
i install headers an cam myself thanks to them. i save a lot of money by doing that. this forum need something like that asap!!! I know there are a lot of members waiting to do the same thing.Back an forth the a dealer or a performance shop get's expensive if u know what i mean. i like doing some of my own work that give me something to do on my off time. by the way vett ran 11.60 qt mile with me driving it an i am not that good of a driver .pcm tune by pcmforless.

No idea if this has been discussed yet (17 pages!) but forum software provides for the opportunity to "ignore" certain users. Is there a way to mark certain threads as to be "ignored", such that they don't keep appearing on the "new posts" searches?

I think such a feature would be extremely helpful at avoiding the typical train-wreck threads that seem to go on and on and on.... nothing forces anyone to read them, but the constant regular sight of the thread title becomes annoying.

what I would like is a Chargerforums radio in which users can upload songs and all the songs are mixed into one giant playlist that everyone can listen to. There should be an icon at the bottom of the "Control Panel" screen that users can click on to launch the program in either Window's Media Player or Quicktime. I saw it on "Viperalley.com" so if you need to see what I mean, check it out. I love that feature so maybe its an idea? I would be here all the time, even if I'm not researching I would listen all the time.

This may not be possible but an idea. With the massive sizes of some threads, is it possible to have a thread open at the last entry we made or even read? Not sure if it could be done with the large amount of users and I know we can find the same spot by brining up our own posts but to be able to click a thread and have it pop up to the last post we read so that we didnt have to try to hunt down that last post and begin reading or read from the last post backwards. Just a thought, possibly too large of a task but wanted to put it out there.

A LINK INSIDE THE TOP MENU that contains mod-writeups ONLY like how dodgeintrepid.net has. Its a pain the you know what to search the forums for a mod. And because I am lazy and I am sure many others are, unless you put a specific string/string combination in the search tool the results are 100s. Its as if the do the "like" on every single word in the search query and return all the results.

ChargeRonDavinS

Allowing search to work better (IE being able to put words in quotes so it finds both words together)

Tired of searching for something like HID KIT and only finding posts that have either word. In a search engine, anything in quotes is found together" So all results would have "HID KIT" in it.

Also, a chat would be awesome.

I apologize if this has already been brought up, and it isnt exactly an enhancement to the actual site.. but I'd love to see something sold to members to represent that they are part of the CF community (ie. chrome trunk emblem, decal, licence plate frame, etc). Dunno what the demand would be, but I always get curious when I pass another charger on the road, and wonder if they're a fellow member.

As far as enhancements to the site.. I wish you were able to view a list of posts that quoted one of your own posts.. similar to when you go to the list of posts that you've made. That's all for me at the moment.

1. an access to last page of thread from active topic menu

2. an ignore feature that works better. It ignores the people you want to ignore but when someone else on the thread quotes them you have to read what they said anyways. Makes ignore kinda worthless

3. how bout a tech section. A section where actual techs be it chrysler or not can help people with their issues and be shown that they are an actual tech so people dont think joe blow is giving them an opinion. Maybe like a set group of tech helpers that have that designation under their avatar.

This is perhaps treading into "Moderator" territory, but how about the ability for the thread starter to remove or at least blank out postings that go off the original topic? Nothing throws the reading of a thread off then when a post has nothing to do with the topic title. I myself have done this a couple times, felt bad and gone back to delete the post. Some posts deserve hijacking but every once in a while there is a thread that doesnt.

I wouldn't say it is horrible but I am not able to search for specific quotes but it may just be me not knowing how to. Say I wanted to search for "center console" in the interiors thread, it brings up everything with center and console in it and you have to sift through it.

Also, on the new Audio thread, how long before the Moved threads go away and stop clouding up the recent threads in the interior? Just wondering.

I realize that I'm just a noob here, but would like to offer my 2¢.

The forum I have for my bike, has a separate webpage, which includes how to articles for the mods, and and a list of recommended vendors for various items. This seems much more convenient, than searching threads, and is easier than stickies. It's also great for those who are gracious enough to write the how-to articles, as they don't have to repeat themselves. Just give the standard response." Did you rtfwp "( Read the F-ing webpage).

Since the Daytona and R/T Road & Track are essentially the same vehicle barring the aesthetics alone, can we have a specific area for these two models?

We have the same engine/airbox, running gear/susp, etc.

Thanks and THANKS FOR THIS WONDERFUL FORUM!!

Would be nice to see each state in the reginal forums have there own link. Example the midwest forum has 10 states in it. Since I live in Oklahoma, it would be nice to go to the midwest forum and then choose Oklahoma. That way it wouls be easier to see what's happening close to home.

The Dodge Charger Forum Site Can Use A Performance Technical Page Article Posted By Professionals (mopar Performance Specialist) Only. The Many Questions Posted Are Answered Mostly By Fellow Enthusiast With More Garage Experience Than Shop.
If I Want To Modify My Intake, Exhaust Or Suspension, Then I Want Insights And Recommendations From Mopar Pros. Who Can Better Guide Me On Do's And Dont's, What Works Well Vs Overkill.
I Also Would Like To See Product Reviews And Conparisions Which Would Help My Chioces For Specific Applications.
Mustang And Ford Fans Are Blessed With Seas Of Information. There Are Numerious Magazines Devoted To Mustangs Alone.
I Should Know. I Was A 5.0l Enthusiast For Many Years.
Any Modification I Wanted To Preform Anywhere On The Car, I Could Find Technical Acticles On It.
Both This Forum And Mopar Need To Futher Develope A Tectnical Format To Help Lx Owners And Enthusiast To Get The Best Out Of Their Cars.

I'd like to see a time slip database that's separated by the model of Charger, not just a hodgepodge of all LX'ers like what LX forums has. Perhaps it could be worked in as a Track Talk sub-forum, I don't know...

I know it's been said numerous times, but I can't get over how the LX Forums is laid out. The controls, graphics, and profile options are much better, sorry, but it's true. We need to revamp the CF to be even better than the LX Forums! LOL Come on, I know you guys got it in ya! Just do it! LOL

The site is fine. Helpful, informative and entertaining. The only thing that I see missing and which would be helpful might be a calendar of upcoming events by region. Allow simple posts of date, event name, location and maybe some contact info or a link. I'd recommend moderation, but it might help some folks to easily find events that they might otherwise miss by having them buried within a post that may or may not be clear.

I don't know, change the poll thats been on the home page for liek 3 years.... Maybe make it What engine does your car have (2.7, 3.5, 5.7, 6.1) just to see the spread of who is on CF.

I think it's finally the same to get a custom, unique skin that is based on the site itself. Remember that the better the skin is looking, the more members it will attract.

The Polls forum isn't accessable for members, so maybe there could be a poll moderator who could update it every couple of weeks.

Yeah I know that a moderator has to do it, I just think it would be cool to see a new main poll of the site. Here is the pros/cons I have come up with...

PRO's-

1)More interactive - maybe even link a thread for discussion on the poll
2) Repeat visitors - There is a Gaming site that I check daily, just to see the poll (www.gamefaqs.com). I remember one day thje question was simple what brought you to the site TODAY. The options were like [Forums] [Help on a specific game] [first visit] [I am here for the poll}...... Over %50 were there to see the daily poll.
3)If you had someone to change it daily, you could pit two chager colors against eachother (bracket style) and vote everyday until we finally know what the fastest color out there is!
4) More people will register, if they want to vote in a specific poll.

Cons-
1) Keeping it fresh (well, anythings an improvement at this point)
2) If properly done, It could take a dedicated admin/moderator type, but just might be worth it.

If any Admins/Mods want to talk more about it, shoot me a pm. I have tons of ideas.

I thought the site was fine until I logged in today.

This new advertising scheme with my post text now generating hotlinks and popup windows is really bad news to me.

I was all for the added ads for the general public (with fewer ads for logged in members) but making links out of my posts would only encourage me to re-edit posts to remove the text that generates the links.

But ultimately, it will work to drive me away from the site altogether unless these tags are removed for logged-in members.

There is an option to turn this feature off in your user CP ;)

It seemed a little weird to me that the option to turn the adverts off was under Profile, instead of Options. It took a minute to find it..

I think these two things could make it better:

1) It would be nice if pictures posted by members did not duplicate everytime someone replies to the original post. I always try to delete the imbedded pictures when I reply so they don't needlessly appear several times on each page.

2) It would also be nice if the pages were set to automatically refresh in my browser, like the news webs ites do. Most times when I am on CF, I have my notebook off to the side somewhere while I am puttering around my house doing things and I usually have the page on "Active Topics". It would be great if the page automatically refreshed so I could just look over to see if there's been any activity on the threads I am interested in, rather than having to walk over and manually refresh the page.

Hope I'm not being too picky. You did ask, though. :nervous s

Personally, I'd like to be notified if my posts are edited and why, instead of being censored on the sly with no heads up. I've seen this done several times by different moderators but it seems to be inconsistent. Might help to let people know what they did wrong so they won't do it again.

With the recent addition of the "Chat Lounge", the MODs and ADMINs DO listen to the voices of the masses (good or bad idea depending on who you read posts by), I thought of a couple more suggestions to potentially improve the site.

#1 would be the search engine. This needs a bit of fine tuning so results are more easily accessed. I think this would eliminate a lot of extra threads on topics that have already been discussed.

#2 A revamping of the Photo Gallery. Perhaps addition of "tags" such as Model, color and others so that a Picture Gallery search engine could be created. Just hard to find things in there. What exactly?? Not sure, I was in there the other day searching for pictures of a couple mods I want to do and with everything scrambled I couldnt find what I was hoping too.

Im sure there are even more ideas out there

I think we should should start a new thread with the same topic.. with new and current ideas... with positive comments.. not stupid stuff like "ban people that own mustangs" or talk about them..

also the thread was started in august of 2005 with over 238 posts. I believe a new thread would bring better and more positive results..

If that is indeed what were after .....

I like that idea too. Maybe e-mail notification too?

That would be good

I realize we can always subscribe to the thread, but I don't want to subscribe to every thread I post in, and it would be nice to know if someone replied directly to anything that I've posted, whether I was subscribed to the thread or not.

Ok, im not sure where to put this, so MODs or ADMINs feel free to move to better location if needed.

We have a great list of supporting vendors for this Forum. But the way they are listed, its not always easy to tell what they offer unless you are referred to them by someone. Is there a way to establish a listing (or even a search engine) that will give a listing of our vendors and what products they offer? Search for Graphix would bring up RiderGraphix, Automotive Concepts, GripTuning amongst others. The search results would be vendor name and links (or at least show website info) to the vendor for ease of shopping / researching, perhaps even a contact person at the co
