Many people have asked for decals to put on their cars when they purchased materials from us or during repeat orders.

We have never really done any.......so we hired a graphic artist to help us make several designs that people may like.

We are thinking about either the sticky side as the front of the label so they can be put inside the back rear window or rear side glass.

Maybe it would be more popular to have them externally put on the outside so that people can put them under their hood or on the rear side windows or whatever.

We have several styles and would love to know what everyone thinks about which design and which one(s) they would want to put on thier cars. Do you prefer adhesive on the front or on the back?

Opinions are definitely welcome.

Let us know.

Thanks

hmm. Im not really feelin the card ones. But the rest of them I do like. I would like the adhesive on the backs so that it would go under the hood. Dont know if you would want to put the company website or company name on it somewhere. Just wanted to throw a couple options at ya.

For Aces I like the design of #1. The cards aren't doing it for me in #2-4.
For QB, #7 is much easier to read than #5 (and that's what really counts, isn't it?).

As for adhesive, I'm much more likely to use a vinyl sticker with adhesive on the back. That lets me put it wherever I want: windows, engine cover, underhood, etc. If you put the adhesive on the face, it pretty much means it's only going in a window.

#1 ro #6 for the Aces. Keep it simple IMO. And put the adhesive on the back. Most guys have tinted windows and putting them on the inside of a tinted window, you'd never see it.

The only thing I might add though is that it may be safer to run #6 for ACES that way if you ever change your formula for ACES IV, then it will become ACES V right? Then you're kinda screwed with the 4 aces that you have on your logo...unless you just never change the name after having changed the formula!!! Heck, we'd never know!

#2 is the best of the "four aces" theme. If you are gonna add flames to the text, they should go out to the right side instead of the left.

Brian,
I'm not digging these designs for a variety of reasons (see my PM). However, I sure do appreciate the thought behind putting the decals inside inside the glass. "Do you prefer adhesive on the front or on the back?" I'm sure that you could market both depending on where the person was putting the decal. Personally, if I were going to put it on my window, I would prefer it on the inside of the vehicle so it will last longer, look nicer and not peel off. Thanks for giving us an option!

Good idea, here's an add-on to that. I use the flexible adhesive magnet on the back of dash plaques and decals and it lets me roll my own and stick them inside the trunk (at least until I get off my butt and do my liner)

Of the BND decals, I like the first one. Like I said, keep it simple. Stick with one color then you don't have to worry as much about the colors fading over time. Offer them available in different colors so people can color match them to thier cars if they want.

Still trying to decide which one I like best...

Brian,

A couple of thoughts strike me FWIW:

1. The key to these decals is they have to communicate what the product is as quickly as possible. In that sense the cards could help someone retain what they saw faster. At the same time, could they distract? I'm a big fan of simple. Look at the logos for some of the top companies out there. Fedex, Ford, etc. They have very simple logos. But everybody knows them. For those of us on this board, we know your product. But what does your logo communicate to someone who doesn't know your product yet? I think you're on the right track throwing them up here for us to sound off on.

2. As for your company logo (BND), I think having those decals available is a great idea. I may not be ready to plunk down the money for your product, but I know I want it and I guarantee when I have it I want to know how to find you. The multicolor option is problematic on two levels, increased cost and color fade. If economy of scale makes increased cost negligible I would go with your printer's recommendation on which colors fade the least. (Unfortunately, blues fade, reds don't) That said, I agree with others' statements that you can't go wrong with the classic black or white. Everybody can see white on a window.

3. Definitely get some reverse printed or cut. This creates the mirror image of your decal so people can opt to stick them to the inside of their window.

4. That oil change reminder sticker idea is AWESOME. Wish I had thought of that. It would have made me seem much smarter.

Anyway just my opinion folks, I could be wrong.;)

Brian,

A couple of thoughts strike me FWIW:

Worth very much to me and my company!

That really was our idea here that the cards play on our name ACES obviously but they tend to draw a question from people ......hey what's with the playing cards....then they look at the decal and say what is ACES IV....rocket fuel for your car? I was hoping for people who use our materials to be proud that they do, and have a unique logo while it draws others to ask what is it.

For those of us on this board, we know your product. But what does your logo communicate to someone who doesn't know your product yet? I think you're on the right track throwing them up here for us to sound off on.

Yes, I consider you all my friends and cohorts and really value your opinions.
We were going to use "rocket science for your car!" but decided that fuel denotes better what the product is or is for.

2. As for your company logo (BND), I think having those decals available is a great idea. I may not be ready to plunk down the money for your product, but I know I want it and I guarantee when I have it I want to know how to find you.

Thats great that you know who we are and I am glad that you want to have us help you in the future! The point is you do what to know where we are when you are ready and the BND Automotive decal to your point will help as well.

According to my decal manufacturer the new UV stable inks will last 4-5 years before they get bad. However, the black/white is not out of the question either. I am getting pricing and will decide what is feasable and and what cost. I really do not want to skimp on a decal which will result in a poor representation of our company. However, the FedEX decals and UPS decals do make the point, but because they have been in business so long and are so easily recognized that a drawing decal or logo is not necessary.

3. Definitely get some reverse printed or cut. This creates the mirror image of your decal so people can opt to stick them to the inside of their window.

I am quoting them now. Thanks.

4. That oil change reminder sticker idea is AWESOME. Wish I had thought of that. It would have made me seem much smarter.

Me too!

Hey Brian,
any update on which decals you guys decided on??

Yea,

We did decal #3 as it was the most popular. The cool thing is that if you like #1 you can get the #3 decal and cut the cards part off.

The QuantumBlue decal with the Custom Blended lubricants was done and the BND Automotive.com with Custom Designed Performance underneath was also done.

So people will now have decals to put on their car windshield, rear window, under the hood etc.

Pictures are enclosed.

Thanks

Voted #3 for style points, but #1 would be a very good option for people who want to advertise your product without 'making a statement'- Or, at least, as much of one.

Also, I would suggest making your logos in a 'left' 'right' version, wherein the flame appears on either end of the text, so that it can match 'proper flow' designs if they are placed on either side of the car.

Edit: Clearly I should have assumed that with five pages of postings, this/these issue had already been addressed :D

I thought about that. If we get enough call for it, I will make them as well. Pretty expensive undertaking. These are on cast vinyl with UV screened inks that are 4 color process so they should last 5-8 years.

Thanks for those who gave opinions.
