Hi new member,

I purchased my Charger also magnesium pearl about a week ago. I have not been driving it to work but look forward to weekends when I can cruise with it and get accustomed to its get up and go qualities.Tried to by a dash mat for it from the dealer but it was so ugly I returned it.

There is no doubt that this a car to enjoy and take care off, hope you get a chance to do that soon. Email me if you like with your thoughts after you have given the car a good test drive. :)

All Tucson people, surronding areas and those willing to drive to Tucson... Where are we meeting????? Chuey's has Harley night on Thursdays so either Wednesday or Friday seem to "fit" in here. It is a family restourant so you can bring the kids. Prices are half way decent. I do NOT get kick backs. I go to the one on Ina just east of I-10 quite often. Since they host Harley night I am pretty sure they would be open to Charge/Hemi night. Let me know if this is cool and I will ask him. We can even mimic Harley night and have Chuey's Charger night T's made up.

Your idea is great, but I think we should consider a smaller get together at first. Meet at Sonic for a burger and hang out for a few hours with just the local boys/gals, of course anyone is welcome. Usually you would get a better turn out on a weekend for lunch, etc. Then once we hang out a few times and get the local charger owners into it, we can organize a larger get together at say chuey's and get some of the Phoenix people involved. I'd be willing to commit at getting together at Sonic on the 1st of Oct. It's on a Saturday at say 12:00. The One on speedway would be OK. What do ya say,

That's what I wanted originally too. I had a "plain" R/T picked out, no options at all. The salesman let me drive it home to show my wife and the first words out of her mouth were "it looks so plain inside".

So I had to change cars to get one with the Sound package / comfort package / Sirrus radio / etc. so that she was happy. (gotta have her happy otherwise me-no-get-no-car)

hehe, yeah, My wife wanted pretty much the same thing I did. I hate sirrius, and I think the boston acoustics in my charger sound great. I did add my XM receiver from my truck though.

I am not an Arizona member, but just had to post and say what I great time I had at the Pavillions Car Show last night.

Eye-popping vehicles everywhere you looked! (Daytona R/T's car was the best one there of course... ) :grin:

Found out that is the longest running car show in America... every Saturday since the 50's...?!? That is amazing. Makes me want to move to Phoenix!


Anyway, I really enjoyed my visit to Phoenix, especially the TrackExperience at Firebird. Great facility and awesome program.

Well I ordered my Charger today!! an 06 Midnight Blue Pearl....6 cyl. The dealer called it bog standard...but to me...leather seats in AZ are a No No...and premium sound sounded like a fart in a can and I would take it all out soon anyways.. And wheels dont matter to me as I plan on getting 20's or bigger when the wallet recovers. So bog standard it is for me...i mean all that matters is the engine and with having a size 14 shoe...v8 with a big gas bill is the least of my problems...lousy dps!!!

So I guess im part of the mopar family now...definatly lookin forward to doing some fun stuff to the charger.

Any recomendations on what to do first??? Besides everything lol...

One quick question though...I love the look of the SRT8 hood...but the dealer wants $2100 for it...I know its got to be chaper than that...anyone know where????

A good group of mechanics?? I recommend "Master Tech" on Thunderbird...north side of the road between 75th ave and 67th. We had work done there because they are mopar people. The prices are not cheap, but they have done good work.

F1 Race Factory is the indoor go-kart track that's over by the airport. Last summer when I was there last, the race track section felt like an oven though. If you don't want to sweat like crazy on the track, they have video games to play, I think they have a few pool tables too, and you can have a brewski while you watch the karts go around the track. :)

That sounds like fun! I think it might still be too hot for that though. I was serious when I said Hooters. It's indoors, you can get beer, and it's a place where you guys would actually show up to. ;)

The Pavillions is a Saturday night thing and there are a few people gathering tomorrow night.

I would take the loop...Bell Rd has way too many lights. Take the 101 to the 7th STREET (not AVE) exit and continue on the access road until you get to 16th St. Make a right and go past Union Hills. Make a left turn before you hit Bell Rd which will be the next light. Spinato's pizza is where we will be and it's family friendly! We should be there around 7 although my honey isn't home from work yet!

sorry, I got busy this weekend... I'm a teacher and tomorrow starts the new school year for us... Plus I got free tickets to the DBacks on Sat as well...But I was going to ask you Chargercick...where you by chance at Desert Ridge on Sat & Sunday? I saw a silver charger in the lot......On sat when i met the person I was getting the tickets from and sunday when my wife and kids hit Fire and Ice for lunch after church..... if you see me...my plate has my internet name on it...pmacaz.... :smile:

I'm not a big fan of Desert Ridge... just happened to be there....and yeah, free tickets like these are great....few rows off the dugout.... good view...!!!
