Is altezza a generic name for led tailights (lights) or is it a brand? If its a name or style who makes the best reliable LED tails for us? 08 se-plus... i suspect they are plug and play...
thanks!!

Ebay is your friend. As AFAIK altezza is a generic term used to describe any light with a asian influence in design. Usually doesn't apply to the LED lights, but more to the ones with the round reflectors.

I'm looking as well.

Ebay is the place, as low as $129. But I would like to see them in local shop for comparison.

Ebay's prices were good. Hopefully the qualtiy is too... another question; does the smoke color diminish or reduce light output from the LED's? It would seem like it does but i dont have one to look at. The regular color should be bright and bold.
thanks again!!

Hello,

I have the smoked LED tails and they are bright as heck. I've seen people cover their eye's when they are behind me at a stop light at night. Sorry no night pics to show you.

OK! thanks!!:beerchug: I think the smoked red would look good on my inferno red... I have LED backup lights and i could swap them if the ones they come with are less bright!! now i just have to figure where to buy... ebay 129 a pair and i've seenthem as high as $350 a pair. There really isnt a lot to them... lights, wiring board, plastic lens and seals.. $350 is too much: about $150 should get a good pair...

how visible are they during the daylight hours?? dont want to get rear ended!!

now that we know all that, which ones are street legal? are any of them street legal or are they like aftermarket HID kits? not legal...

I had some and sent them back because the fitment was bad. They came with a DOT certificate though.

Check out this thread in the SRT-8 section.

It helped me decide that I'll be going with the LED's whenever my black SRT-8 finally gets here.

I've had mine, natural red, for almost a year now and there still as bright as day one. I believe i paid $150 from an bay seller brand is eagle eyes if i remember correctly. i recently added some 20' rims(black w/crome lip) and want to get a pair of smoke led tail lights, although 07's rt lvr's tail lights look good also. I'll post some pics, both day & night, this weekend. Good luck..

thanks for the info and the vendor name!! I will check them out and look forward to seeing the photos. I'm thinking the smoke stands out more in the daytime, but has to diminish the output a little bit at night... also the cops here in the burbs wont pull you over for just that, but if they pull you over for something else then they pile it on! post the pics here!
thanks again!
