Is that a speaker? I currently do not have the dash speakers but I plan on adding them when I do the rest of my system..but I'm not sure if ill be needing 2 or 3 3.5'' speakers..

Next question would be how to install a speaker there. Does the entire dash need to be removed?

I don't think that's a speaker. I think that may just be a grill opening for the GPS satalite antenna on NAV equipt cars.

I think it is a center channel speaker that is utilized in the "surround" audio mode. I think it is a 3-1/2". I might be wrong. turn your stereo on, switch to surround mode, and put your ear to it. Let us know.

I think I might just do the 2 side speakers on the dash and just forget about the middle one..

It is only a speaker if you put one there or you have one of the premium systems that utilize that location. it is 3 1/2"

Correct!

I have the Charger SXT with the 4 speaker system, and there are NOT any speakers there.

If you had one of the better sound systems, there would be speakers there.

Yes, you can add speakers there, as that size is 3.5", but if you just have the 4 speaker system....I don't think there will be any connections for it.

BTW, those pics in the first post look familiar. I wonder where they are from! LOL!

What exactly do you mean by "premium systems"? Do you have to have a "
premium system" stock? or like when I do my system, will it be considered "premium"?

I thought I'd seen them before, but they all look alike.

Good question. I meant a stock system with 8 or more speakers. I'm not sure if the 7 speaker systems use it or if the the 7th speaker is a sub. I have the Boston Acoustics 6 speaker system with the unused center speaker grill.

Whether or not the system you put in could be considered a premium system would probably depend on the equipment you choose. :)
