May seem like a silly question but..........
I'm going to order some lettering for across the top of my back window. What size (height) would anyone recommend to have the letters? I've never done this so I'm not really sure what size might look good.
Thanks!

I would measure the black strip accross the top of the window, and just use a leter height that fits in there...I think 3" tall letters *should* fit...but measure to be sure.

I'm gonna have a custom windshield banner made for mine, I was looking into 3.5~4" letters, I'm sure the rear window would be about the same size lettering.

Thanks for the advise RT.
Now- can anyone recommend a web site to order from? I've looked at a couple and one thing I'm not really sure about is whether they provide the letters individually or on a strip.
Sure don't want a strip across the window with letters on it. I think that would look tacky. I'd rather have individual letters.

Thanks Crazy.
I was looking at 3.5 to 4 myself. Between your's and RT's answers I think I was headed in the right direction. At least I now have a good ballpark figure.
Any suggestions on where to order from (see my last post)?

Don't block any clear glass in front or rear cause the local police can then cite you for impeding your vision from the auto. I see too many that have way to much stuff on the windows and should be told to remove it for safety reasons.
You may want to check local law b4 you spend the money. Here, lettering larger than 1/4 inch is illegal................................

Where is "here" Tee? I'm in Virginia and I see some outrageous stuff on windows.

Agreed bad. All I want to do is put a single word across the top of the back window. Not too elaborate like a lot of things I've seen and nothing to block my vision.
Again- anyone have any recommendations as to where to order the lettering from?

On my Daytona I had "Dodge" in the Dodge font (in orange) put across the top of my front window. Went with 3.5 " high.
You can have these made at any sign shop that does vinyl laser cut letters and logos. Easy to apply. The shop I use even had the Dodge logo in their computer.

Thanks Craig- maybe I'll just start shopping around at local sign shops instead of online. At least that way I can get a definite idea of what I'm getting.

I "think" in VA you're fine as long as you've got 2 (one each side, obviously) rear views that can see back behind you.
Geez, you see these all the time here with the Ricers... can't be too illegal.

Any sign shop that does vinyl lettering can do it. The stuff is UV resistant and easy to apply. I think I paid $12.00 for my "Dodge" logo..... and you can see the color samples to pick what you like.
