Some of you might find this interesting - Go find an empty SR (insert # here) that has at least a 55mph speed limit and has some good 35-45mph (recommended) turns in it. Drive the road enough to get familiar with it; especially the turns. Then with the HAL "off" run the car through the turns at a SAFE but faster than a grandma pace with the cruise control "on" and try not to hit the brakes. (If you have to hit the brakes to make a turn then this will not work for you). Now run the same course with HAL "on" and cruise control on".

What I learned about the car as a whole is this:

1. HAL is a *****! His comfort level with lateral G's is a very small margin and leaves lots of room for error.

2. HAL will cut throttle and it felt like even apply the breaks if one or more of it's thousand sensors detects any kind of trouble ahead.

3. HAL is my best friend when the roads are wet and the wife drives the car!!!!!!! (She will not turn off esp)

4. All in all the car is frickin awesome – but I really would like the option of totally disabling the SOB! And have all available HP at the blip of the throttle.

Just one mans opinion

"Disclaimer”

YOU AND ONLY YOU KNOW THE LIMITS OF BOTH YOU AND YOUR CAR. PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME IF THIS THREAD MAKES NO SENCE TO YOU

All I know is, that Hal has not interfered once in my driving on "spirited" back roads. Driving at speeds far faster than I'm able to with the 0.81G acheived by my Toyota, the Charger corners great. If you want interference, you shoulda drove my '01 Lexus IS300 which had a traction control so sensitive, it would cut power entering my driveway!

BM, SRT cars get different ESP programming than non-SRT cars.
