Formula D Drift Event July 8, 2006 - Let's support Sam Hubinette driving the Charger

Since there is a growing group of Charger enthusiasts in the Bay Area, I wanted to see if anyone wanted to go to the Formula D event at Infineon Raceway on July 8, 2006.

Professional driver - Sam Hubinette will drive the Mopar Charger this season (he drove the Viper last year).

We can caravan there and give our support to him and Mopar :)

I guess we can meet up in Vallejo, and then caravan down to Infineon.

Last year, I noticed that the Viper Club had a spot near the staging point for the Formula D drivers. They had at least 25 cars there. I wonder if they will be there again this year......maybe we can park with them :).

I'll be there for sure. My wife got me a season pass for infineon this year. Includes all races. So I am there. I believe I will have the perferred park area too. I'll be at the NASCAR & NHRA (Infineon) for sure also.

You know that Infineon raceway(Sears Point) is like 900 miles away. Its just north of San Francisco. Thats one hella of a drive.

I'll try to make it. Was there for NASCAR last weekend and had a blast. I think the weather should be a "little" cooler. SUNDAY was HOT! Are we going to be parking together?

I personally talked to the Mopar rep in the last drift event. He stated that the Charger will make it's debut in the Formula D event in Sonoma's Infineon Raceway.

Ladies and gents......I just got off the phone with Sam.....he stated that he will not be running the Charger this season due to some problems with suspension set up. He will be running his Viper instead while the Charger is dialed in properly. :(

Cool pictures! It was pretty hot huh?? While talking to Sam, he mentioned that he also had a Charger, an SRT with a super charger. He mentioned it's getting 500+ hp to the wheels.

I had a great time meeting with you and your wife, and some of my other Impreza club owners.

Also, Nick Hogan is going to try out for being the driver for the MOPAR Viper, while Sam will transition to the Charger. He said to me that it might be ready for the Atlanta Formula D.
