This is my first post here and I hope to get along with all of you even if we don't drive the same car. Check out my story below.

So get this guys, I went out to dinner with my wife and sisters at Famous Daves on Route 1 South in New Brunswick by the Loews Movie Theatre. I come out of the place after we are done and notice a brand new Metallic Silver Dodge Charger blocking the space where I had parked my car. At first I thought to myself, what the hell is that charger doing, looking for parking? I kept approaching the car and quickly saw the retard trying to break the lock on my stang, there were two morons on the charger driving and the third dude ran into the back of the charger when I started yelling and running towards them. The idiot didn't have enough time to break the lock, but he bent the handle and gave me a fist size dent by the door handle. The car still locks. I swear to god I am so furious right now, this happened around 9:00 p.m. Today. I am grateful the car was not stolen, but damn:fuming: . The dudes were in a Dodge Charger I got the first four letters of the license plate: 1BK0 but did not get the rest. If anybody knows of any chargers that were stolen recently, let me know. I don't think these morons would own this car. I think they probably just stole that car, since it was brand new and freshly cleaned. This charger was real nice.

Thanks for hearing me rant. God Dammnn :( thieves

Well did you make a report ? There's probably not too many 06 silver charger's and can probably be identified with the four digits you have, atleast they didn't get your Stang !!! Welcome aboard!!And when are you getting your Charger?

last time i checked, chargers were almost impossible to steal.

Yeah, I called the cops and filed a report. I gave them the partial plate number, make, color and model of the car these guys were in. I am thinking these idiots probably stole this charger they were in, since it seemed very well taken care of. The car was very clean, freshly waxed, armorall tires and looked great.

Hopefully if, finances allow, I am looking into getting an SRT Charger by the end of the year.

and yes, thieves should be castrated, this was one of those times when I wish I was actually carrying a gun.

thanks all for your replies.

NYT, your right. Virtuallly impossible.

Satin, sorry to hear about the damage. You cars antitheft system (PATS) does have a weak point, Id suggest suggest a supplemental alarm system. ITs very, and I repeat , VERY unlikely, that the Charger was stolen.

You really need to report what you got to the cops, that Charger belongs to either one of the thieves, or a relative, unless the theif managed to get the original key for it.

I wont go into details, search stolen here for the tech detail, but trust me, I'm very familiar with this, and in three years, I have not found one case of an SRT-4, or any other Dodge with SKIS being hotwired.

Bob: WTH is that voice?

HAL: Bob, were you trying to steal that car?

Bob: Who the hell is this? Onstar?

HAL: Bob, in addition to violating severl state laws, you actions indicate you might have liked that other car more than me.

Bob: Huh?

HAL: Initiating steering wheel overvoltage now, 20 amps

Bob: sizzzle, crackle, pop

WOW - You got a pretty good look at the Charger.
You picked up on all those details and only got the first four of the plate # ?

Not flaming - Just an observation I made.

It would be great to have DCX put in a GPS tracking system in future cars.

Just for technical accuracy. Your GPS system is strictly a reciver. Now, maybe it can be integrated with Uconnect to enable Onstar like functionality, but I can see them engineering such and not selling it.

yeah, unfortunately, that is what caught my eye, how good and clean the car looked and then when the morons pulled off, I was only able to remember the first four digits of the plate. The cops have all the information. It was three african american guys, two with a fade cuts, one with dread locks, I can even remember exactly what they were wearing. Again the cops have all of the details, so it is up to them. Yeah I am going to get an additional alarm, anybody have any suggestions?

I am currently saving money to get a charger of my own, so hopefully by the end of the year, I will be able to give myself a big christmas present:)

My 06 Daytona was stolen right out of my garage..........

after they broke into my house and found the keys.
Fortunately I got it back the next day without too much damage. The dumbass was stupid enough to be driving my one of a kind(only gomango in my town) around in broad daylight. And if the color wasn't obvious enough, he had my halos on to attract a little more attention:)

A while back someone broke into my and stole my Pioneer AVIC Z2 head unit and some items in the car. Left the Radar, guess they missed it up high. Also left amps. They pop'd the hood, smashed the siren and pulled the alarm out from under the dash.

As someone suggested, buy a really big snake and keep it in the car.

I opt'd not to do the snake, removed my after market alarm and upgraded to one that alerts me if I am within range. Also hid the a second siren that is a PIA to get to, and has a built in battery.
