I've been working on uninstalling the factory kicker sub so I can install it in my brother's RT. problem is the harness looks to be routed under the seats and maybe carpet, not the sides either down the center. Is this normal for it to be installed in a difficult location from the factory. I looked up the aftermarket mopar installation instructions, but they appear to be installed differently, any one with past experience and insight would be greatly appreciated.

factory wiring is set in the place that is most logical for design and production line installation. I don't know for sure, but I'd bet it's part of the main vehicle harness.

That must be it, what do I need to install it in the R/T if I only have the speaker and amp?

You ned the harness that comes with the add-on kit. However, It is very difficult to find - I was lucky and got it with a partial kit along with the amp. Plus you need the small bracket that secures the woofer to the trunk, but you could probably fake that.

Others have tried to get a harness but iam not aware of any successes. Good luck!.
