Greetings!
I am a designer for Grip Tuning. I am working on a full bodykit for the Charger (We already have one for the 300C, Neon and Cobalt) and am looking for input. I want to stress that this is not in production *yet*. I'd like to get input from the market that this is targeted towards, to assure that we produce a product that the market wants. I've got 4 themes below. Please provide any input that you may have as to what you like/don't like, or what you would like to see. Keep in mind this kit will be Reaction Injection Molded Urethane. We are targeting a release date on or near the Mopar Nats.
Please let me know what you think!

Whats up with the vents on the sides for the back picture of Theme D but not on the front picture. The fronts need a lot of work. The bottom grille is a little to large in each IMO. I like the rectangualr pipes. Maybe you could make some illustrations with side exhaust just to see what it may look like. Thanks.

It didn't make it onto the other sketch.....I just grouped them together, they don't necessarily have to go together. You could say that you like the front from A with the rear from D you know?
Thanks!

the poll only lets you vote for 1 picture
it should be vote for 1 front and 1 back

the front end of theme C looks good, i would say needs a lil work on the bottom vents so it fits factory fog lights. Dont like the rear bumper on C, the back bumper on D looks pretty sweet. a wing kinda like the RKsport would look cool too, maybe a lil diff that doesnt wrap around the taillights, or just at the top part of the tails, not too ricey though. I dunno, just thoughts

I would pic C if these were my only choices, I would be more interested in seeing something done like the pic below. It's just simple and to the point.
Just noticed that the kits do not have the cross in the front, I just spent 39.00 on a daytona grill and I am not wasting money like that!

I have been through this before. Body kits are great for the first couple of years or so. Then everything starts coming loose and falling off. I am not making that mistake again.

I don't see how these kits will fall off. Ours use ALL OEM attachemnt points for front/rear fascias, as well as the rockers, as well as all OEM attachment hardware. If our kits falls off it's an installer mistake.

The weight of the product and the aero design has a lot to do with it also. I've seen quite a bit of body kits that end up looking like poo. Not saying yours will - It's just an observation that I have made.

Very true. I have to agree with you that for the most case aftermarket kits do not fit very well. This is typically the case for cheap fiberglass kits. Our kit is as close to OEM as you are going to get. The weight of our kit is similar to OEM, but our RIM TPO material is much more durable.
Thanks for all the input, keep it coming!
(Thanks El Tino, taken care of, it's been a long week!)

I do like some of the rear bumper set ups you have and the exhaust set ups. I'd like to see how it looks under the car trying to get the pipes bent.
Either way - They are very good drawings - I wish I could come up with something like that.

i think the front from theme c woule look cool if you made the grill look like it does on the pic and do the bottom part kinda like the srt-8 facia, just make the hole a lil more open from the srt-8 one.... lol dont know if that makes sense

None. They all look too ricey, IMO.
But, nice artist. Are they drawn or are they 3D cell shaded?

The C front with the d rear looks like it could be a nice combo, also the a rear is nice but I agree with alber/t loose the cutouts. Also I would like to see a version of c with the crosshairs in the grill. I am not crazy about the cutout in the side skirts. A and B fronts look very chevy inspired to me, they kind of take away from the bold look of the charger, make it look to rice like.

c fornt looks good. d rear. put something in one of the grills for front c it look like 2 bumpers put together. A rear is also nice but no holes.

Dont think I like any of them. Why?
The centered exhaust reminds me of a Vette.
Whats with the side vents?
why does it have a spoiler from the front view but none from behind? And for that matter why that ugly mustang style spoiler?
One of the front ends looks like a cow catcher on a train!
Whats with the GTO tips?
How about the Mad Max teeth?
Honesty hurts!

Well- the poll only allowed me to select one view. I liked A Rear and C Front, with the exception that I like the spoiler that you can see a piece of on C Front and not the spoiler shown on A Rear.
Confusing enough???

Out of the illustrations you have posted thus far, I really like the Theme "A" Rear end. I do not like Theme "A's" front bumper.
For a front end, a modified version of Theme "B" might suffice, but some changes need to be made. As mentioned previously, the front ends on these do need some work, they don't quite fit the "blunt" styling of the Charger. In the theme "B" front bumper pic, I would add the crosshairs, and decrease the port height of center 2 holes. Perhaps tilt them downward to match the angle of the top of the headlights. So they would be similar to the headlights, and a bit shorter in height.
Hope this helps, anything else I can offer, please ask away. :)

IMO - On first impressions...
"D" is the only one that doesn't seem to be directly following another brand... and it even looks like typical kit stuff.
A (fr)- Nissan
A (r) - Hyundai
B (f) - Grand Prix
B (r) - Grand Prix
C (f) - Mustang
Now's your chance to break the trend of big blocky bumpers with misplaced fake scoops for the aftermarket? Look back to the roots of Muscle Cars. That's the flavour of this car... Shape a roll pan that just barely covers the hardware and add a small bumper to it... Then a chin spoiler or slight ground effect...
The 300 suits the look of having a concrete footing poured around it. The Charger doesn't.
You did ask for opinions...
By the way - I do really like your drawing style.

Please understand that the tuner/import/rice cutesy little trend, Mr. screaminDOHC, does not apply to muscle cars.

I would be totally against any of the rears which show the exhausts grouped together in the middle. I wouldnt want to get new exhaust pipes for a body kit.

They should be available mid summer would be my guess. They will be the same as our 300c kit, reaction injection molded urethane.

Deep down I'm still kinda holding out for some one to do an updated Super-bird style kit. Huge wing in the back, bring the front end to more of a point.
Done right, I think it would look great. Done wrong, it'd look like some ricer reject.
But then, I'm kinda sick and twisted that way.

We've been hard at work on the cad data. I've photoshopped a screenshot of the cad file onto the front view here....I think it's more tame than alot of you had expected (With the ricer comments)
What do you guys think?
