Wiring the nd-bc2 rear view camera. I have the camera ran to the back of the car and mounted. However, How do I wire it to the avic-d3? Any help with this? I've been reading for a couple of hours. I have a red (+) cable from the camera? Where do I wire it to? I obviously know what to do with the negative wire. I plugged the brown rca into the brown rca input on the avic-d3.
I tested the camera and it works with a constant power. So where should I wire it to? Tap it on another wire? I seen something on the purple and white wire (reverse gear wire) any suggestions?

Ummm look on the wiring harness of your Avic, does it have a camera wire coming from it? I know on m JVC there was a green wire with brown stripes that was labeled "rear view" camera

I have a reverse wire on the avic-d3 but I hook it straight to the red positive cable. It does not power the unit, So I am wondering if I need to power the unit and tap the reverse wire into it. So that it turns on automatically when I put the car in reverse? How did anyone wire this thing? Someone please explain to me how they wired the reverse camera to the avic? please!!! this is the third day in a row that I'm trying to get the answer as well as my dash is ripped apart.

also check to make sure ur rear view cam is set to on inside your system settings. Some people tap into their reverse lights to give the cam power only when in reverse also check avic411.com

Well there is a wire on the d3 that need to be atteached to the reverse wire which is located on the passenger side kick panel. The backup camera has two wire. One is the ground wire(black). The other needs to be attached to a 12volt switched lead(red). The reason it needs to be hooked to a switched wire is because it will allow you to see behind you when driving. The D3 can do this on the one of the navi setting. The reverse setting of the radio is need to be turned on and also set to positive.
