Is any one brand really better then the other? Or are they all basicly the same? I do notice a difference in price.

if you really want the specs and testing go to lxforums. they have about 4 different CAI being tested on the dyno but for the hemi i guess from what others have said is the MOPAR CAI is the most agressive sounding.

I am going with the mopar cai, everyone over at lxforums seem to love it. I wouldn't mind a little more sound to the hemi.

All,
I am looking for the pro/con list for a cold air intake. I will admit that I am not the most mechanically inclined on this forum by far, so what are the benefits/draw backs to doing this realtively inexpensive mod, and what performance gains can I look forward to.

I have installed the K&N Aircharger on my R/T and i couldnt be happier, its got a nice wicked sound between the Flowmaster and the Intake. It can make a few of the GTs that like to mess with you second guess what they did . anyway it added a nice increase to the bottom and top end.

Anyone have anything to offer on this. Pro's/Con's I have heard that it may effect the warranty? Any assistance would be appreciated

pro's - sounds great, looks great, a "little" more hp
con's - "could" do your warranty in if they can prove that it caused problem...if a huge rock blows into your engine and the cai did it then warranty gone....if your transmission fails....i can't see them blaming the cai....my take on the warranty issue.
i guess you just really have to want to do it and kind of hope nothing goes wrong...another thing i have to say about this (not to anyone in particular) is that if mopar offers it why wouldn't dodge back it up on warranty....i really don't understand that part but oh well.
if you want your baby to breath a little easier - go with cai and exhaust...i believe you have to do both to get full advantage of the easier breathing baby and then lets not forget the headers....nice, definite hp upgrade....been proven by more than one member on here.

Thanks for the info. I was planning on the MOPAR CAI and a CAT back flowmaster set up with Super 40's. The sound clip was incredible...

I've seen that Mopar has a CAI system out for the 5.7. Does anyone know if they will offer a CAI system for the 3.5? Where's our customer service reps that used to lurk around?

Are you talking about the sound clip from the website that lets you hear the super 40's? That does sound incredible.
I am just wondering if that is just the mufflers. The whole system includes resonators, that is what is holding me from getting the flowmasters.
If the whole system with the resonators sounds like that I'm there. Sounds like you're at Talladega

It does look good. I sent you a PM but this is better. I think you are the first to do a Charger engine cover in Mopar orange...Off color from your car. Looks good.

Off color from your car.
Yeah, I'm not 100% sure about it yet. I was thinking of ordering one that matches the car, but I figured I'd try this first. This style = $10; matching car = $200 (from 22elite, anyway). I thought I'd try the $10 style first. :)

I have heard that the color matching is expensive I think because of the pearl coat. The inferno red I would think cost more.

if you want the best looking, and engineered intake-get a DUB~air intake! I see them every day and no other intake uses Stainless Steel or uses a stainless steel cold airbox.
If you are unsure what it looks like-go to www.dub-air.com
and check out the vehicle shots in the gallery.
Even better than the mirror finish, the filter is made with a stainless velocity stack base for smoother controlled airflow.
email me if you want pics emailed to you zachg@avanche.com
