Hi!!!

considering the economy situation, I canīt buy an ipod touch + the $220 mopar oem ipod integration (yes I know this is the better way to listen with good quality the ipod and manipulate it from my stereo), so Iīm thinking in 2 ways:

1. the fm transmiter, connected in the aux power outlet.
2. the tipically cassette adapter.

In both chargers, I have the boston acoustics 6 cd mp3 player... you know, really good sound, but remember , sometimes the stereo donīt read/play the discs (disc error), thats why Iīm thinking in an ipod...

I saw the fm adapter from mopar (100 dlls) ... is this the same as a fm transm. like itrip???

So, what can I do???

thnx!!!

For a temporary solution, I would just get a 3.5 mini to mini jack. I use this sometimes to listen to MP3's from my phone. You can get it from Best Buy for $3.99 in the home theater department (there are other ones in the store that run up too 14.99)

They do have the optional cassette stereo for 07-08 models I think. Sometimes it's listed as having the mini input jack. Send us a pic of your stereo face.

But without the mini input jack I would suggest using the cassette adapter. Having used the FM transmitters before, in areas where there are many radio stations (big cities) you can get some interference. The cassette will give you the best sound without expensive upgrades.

x2

I've used both types.. Even though the cassette has more wires and isn't as "clean" as the fm transmitter, the quality make a huge difference... Even other cars with XM Siruis radios can mess with your signal. I had the AUX jack as well, wasn't bad...
I have the mopar adapter now, and I love being able to control it through the radio... Its very nice...

So in short, my vote is for the cassette it's the best option for uninterrupted sound.

yeap, my 2 cars has the cassette (my v6 is 06 and my r/t is 07), with the 6 cd changer mp3 player, without aux jack, only the "basic" audio system were equiped with it (weird, I know)...

so, thank you so much with your comments, I īll try the cassette :D

thnx!!

x2 on the cassette, much better quality than FM w/o the possible interference, only issue is they can be temperamental at times with your deck thinking that the tape is bad/at the end which will cause the deck to either switch directions and/or eject the tape.

:rocker:I just had the mopar i-pod interface put in by the dealer, great sound as you said but there is a problem...You get the 10 pin connector to connect an i-pod andan aux input also(not the problem) The i-touch will only work on the aux. connection. The aux in can't be controlledfrom the steering wheel controls, but you can control from the i-touch itself. The i-pod connector will only allow steering wheel controls (also charging the i-pod) from older products. p.s. I got really lucky, the mopar connector is supposedl discontinued, the dealer located one for me, put it in, and forgot to charge me for it...............:rocker:
