Just wanted to share. It should be at the dealership for pick up in the next couple of days. I'll post some pics when I get it installed.
I know.... No pics no point. But my wife wasn't very interested so I thought someone here may be ;)

You putting it in yourself? PACharger and I just put ours in on Monday. We did mine first, figuring his would be easier. You know, we figured we'd learn on mine. No dice. It's not impossible. Don't be afraid of it. But it is challenging, and at times painful.

Hope she won't mind helping you pry your stock insert out.. Took me two butter knives and four hands to get the clips to release. I definately would have broken it if I didn't have help. Best of luck!!

How does the top panel come out? You know the black trim piece that is over top of the grill opening when you first open the hood to try to take a look.

Thanks for the useful tip Chris, I never would've thought of that myself.

I have been reading about how tough it is to get the old one out. I am planning on picking up one of these http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=26379&postcount=18
If all else fails I'll head down to the dealership with my tail between my legs, but I am a pretty stubborn so I should be able to get it in.

I got a call from the dealership and my parts are in!
I have a quick question for anyone that has completed this already. I took a peek behind my grille to see what I was going to be getting myself into and this is what I saw (rough drawing)

Is there supposed to be a screw where I wrote I am missing one? If not where is the other one?

Yes, I think there is a screw there. I did mine about 4 months ago. FYI-that top trim piece comes out just by grabbing it and pulling it out by hand......no tools needed.
A word of advice for you. Taking it out was alot easier than putting all back in. I had a buddy who owns a body shop help me do mine (I also had him paint my cross bar to macth my body color). When we installed it back in, we left the two screws on the sides out. There is really no reason for them, and it will cause you much pain and frustration putting them back in. Just screw in the grill only in the middle. I have had zero problems or issues.

I am picking up my car at 7:00 tomorrow and I had the grill delivered to my house earlier this week... will I be up all night trying to drop it in or will I be able to do it within an hour with the proper tools?

Well, I had a body shop guy helping me, and it took us about half an hour to 45 minutes to get er done. I took the 4 screws out, and he popped it out of the tabs, then I screwed the new one in. I would say that without him, it would have been about twice as long to do it, and add about aonther half hour to 45 min. if you want to put the side screws back in.

BTW - the only proper tool you have to have is one of those really, really short phillips screw drivers. You know the kind that are about an inch long. It gets really tight in there when you take the two side screws out, and don't be surprised if you drop a screw in there somehwere.

So, do I only have three screws in mine or is #4 hiding somewhere?

Again, it was like 4 months ago, but I thought I remember having 4? two in the middle, and two on the sides.
The two in the middle should be really easy to find.

Hmm, looks like I am missing one then.

Well, remember we are dealing with an american car here. Things like this happen often I am sure. Not to mention, I don't think it matters. With all the tabs holding that dang thing in there, I can't believe you need ANY screws.

Good point about the tabs... I may just put the middle two back in and see how it goes, I can always add the side ones in if I get a rattle.

Does anyone have a tip on how to get the black clips out easily? I managed to get the screws out in about fifteen minutes but I have been working on the tabs for about a half hour now and I have only managed to get one loose.
I have some pretty gnarly cuts on my wrists too :)
Thanks in advance.

Not the best picture, but until I clean it this is all you're gonna get.
Thanks to everyone that has been through this and posted their tips. It would have been a lot harder without it.

LOL
I just switched back to my chrome grill and added the Daytona insert today.
I like the way it looks much better than the black grill on my car. I just don't think white is the right color for the look that a black grill brings.
Anyway - Man, as usual with this grill, my hands and forearms are all scraped up. I dropped one of those screws that go in the side and it took me about 10 minutes to find it.
Still had fun though - Better than being at work!!!!

Hey man - What do you have in holes where the front LP should go?
The grill looks sweet. That's exactly what I did to mine today. Without the R/T emblem of course. I love the look. It gives it that little bit to make it just right.

I found these bullets at Kragen the day after I bought the car. I took the front plate holder off and there were two big holes there. I wanted something to fill em in.
Here is another pic of them.
