Has anyone thought about painting their intake manifold on the 5.7L eng. I know they are covered, but I do know some of you run with out the cover. I was just wondering. Also want to know if you do paint it will it mess with any type of cooling effects of the air going threw there, just wondering. I've alway's had metel intake manifolds, never had to mess with this high temp plastic stuff. But I would like to paint mine. Any thoughts on this guy's?

on lxf there are a couple guys that painted the 3.5 intake manifold. REALLY looked sharp. The ones I saw were the bright metallic blue and the bright metallic red. Worth going for a few searches. they matched paints for the fuse box top, coolant container, and other key places to really bring it together. A bright blue with bright red hose covers would dress it up. Add some stainless and you've got a show engine.

My thoughts are Hmmmmm...that would be pretty cool if you prefer to run with out the engine cover. I am anxious to see how it turns out.
