Engine cover color?

Did anyone get their Top Banana with the engine cover painted orange? Took it out and repainted it red - looks good now - did the fuse block cover too. Just seems strange that a yellow car would have an orange cover. :cool:

They all came that way...the orange color is the original paint code of the orange they used on Hemi Blocks back in the 60's.

Yea I hear ya.........I made an ass outta myself when I politly/sarcasticly ask the service manager if one of his mechanics was color blind, and how they colud get the two different colored engine covers mixed up between two different cars....he politly said he would get me the right one. Yhen I had to eat crow when the sales mgr pointed out in the brochure that the daytona come painted HEMI ORANGE. :shifty:

It looks like Mango to me. Sounds like "hemi orange" is a good cover story for painting all 8000 Daytona engine covers Mango.
