Exhaust mod and Warranty

I've got a chance at a stock take-off SRT8 Exhaust system. Like to put it on my SXT but I've heard rumour that it'll void the Canadian Warranty. Anybody know anything about this?

Very cool to see a Cdn. site on here...anyway...yeah basically anythig you do will screw you warranty. However, they have to be able to prove that it was directly caused by the modification itself.

Even a new air filter can kill your warranty...but the chances of them ever proving it are probably slim to none.

I'd say go for it...I've ton a ton of mods to my R/T and never had any problems. Most dealers are actually pretty cool about it.

The manufacturer is basically advised by the dealer as to wether or not your warranty should be voided. So if your ok with your dealer...Go for it.

P.S. that doesn't mean go out and supercharge your car. But as long as your realistic with the mods...you shouldnt have too many problems
