I cant wash my Daytona at home due to hard water spotting (well water) so I usually wash it at my Mom's or at the car wash (add quarters, pressure wash type). A week after I bought the Mango I went to the car wash and used the bubble brush........ it left very fine scratches  (very fine, should buff out with the right product or procedure) that can only be seen in bright sun. I have not had this problem on my F150.

I tried waxing and it did not take them out.

Any ideas on products would be appreciated !!!

If I have a detail shop do it, should they do it by hand or is an orbital buffer ok ? (seems to me there was a post not to use the buffer).

I want the scratches out but dont want to make it worse with orbital buff marks or by using rubbing compounds.

Thanks for any suggestions !
Craig

I have the exact same issue with my black truck. I'm going to use my Zaino on it this week or next and I'll report back with the details.

If they are minor, Zaino Z-5 will do the trick, if they are major, you can use Meguier's Scratch-X, then follow up with Zaino Z-5.

Try using the Mr. Clean autodry system with your well water. The last stage uses a filter and the water dries without any spots. I've been using it with much success.

An orbital buffer is fine to use, provided that it is a random orbital and the user knows what they are doing. Use a foam pad, with a quality polish and they should come right out.

Polish is just that, polish, you will need to wax after you polish.

Using car was brushes on a Charger is a deadly sin! They are full of grit and grime.

Bubba used it before you to scrub his monster truck after a day of mudding!

Not with Zaino. Its a polish that protects as good as any wax.

I agree, glad I live south where its warm most of the year, even when its cold, I don't take my car to those brush washers. I guess if I lived up north where its cold most of the year, I might feel differently, but then again, road salt is much worse than any dirty brush could be.

Just watch your decals the retards at my local dealer tried to take a scratch out of mine that they put in. They used an orbital which pulled the edges of the decals up. Didn't fix the scratch just left me with a shiny damaged decal. THey are replacing it.

I used the brush on my truck with no problems.... but on the Mango paint the fine scratches really showed..... and I believe they were from the bristels themselves. NEVER again ! I placed a Zaino order today.... hopefully that will do the trick.

Thanks for the advice !
